This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to tighten the nuts on the windshield wiper arms.
20216912021-11-12. Fuel System. Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with a 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine, the high-pressure fuel pump could fail. If this happens, you may notice a change in engine performance, a fuel leak, or the check engine light may turn on. This could also result in a sudden loss of engine power while driving. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the high-pressure fuel pump and update the powertrain control module software. Additional fuel system parts may be replaced, if necessary.
20213602021-06-10. Engine. Issue: On certain chassis-cab trucks equipped with a 6.7 L diesel engine, the engine oil monitoring system may not detect when the engine oil drops below the minimum level. If this happens, the engine bearings could be damaged. This can lead to a connecting rod failure, which could puncture the engine block and create an oil leak. Safety Risk: An engine oil leak can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Action: FCA Canada will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the engine calibration software.
20213362021-05-28. Wheels. Issue: On certain pickup and chassis-cab trucks, the owner's manual and service manual list the wrong torque specification for the wheel nuts. As a result, some trucks may have had the lug nuts over-tightened during servicing. This can damage the wheel studs and, over time, they could break. If this happens, a wheel could separate from the truck. Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with dual rear wheels and flanged lug nuts. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that separates could also hit another person or vehicle. Corrective Action: FCA Canada will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to inspect and replace the wheel studs, as necessary. They will also provide an update for the torque specification listed in the owner's manual.
20201532020-04-09. Structure. Issue: On certain trucks, the bracket for the bed step could break if too much side-load is applied to it. If this happens, the step could fail when it is used. Safety Risk: A bed step that breaks could create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the bed step support brace. New trucks that have not been sold will have the bed step removed and re-installed once the replacement parts are available.

This could cause a possible distraction for the driver. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to turn off within 10 seconds after shifting from reverse gear. Safety Risk: A driver that is distracted could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the radio software.
20200252020-01-24. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, transmission fluid could come out of the dip stick tube and fall onto the turbocharger or other hot surfaces in the engine bay. Safety Risk: Automatic transmission fluid that leaks onto a hot surface could result in a fire. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the transmission valve body separator plate. The powertrain control module will also be reprogrammed.
20194572019-09-12. Visual System. Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a column shifter, the transmission gear indicator (P R N D) displays only the selected gear instead of displaying all positions and highlighting the selected gear. Canadian regulations require the transmission gear indicator to display all gear positions. Safety Risk: If the transmission shift sequence is not displayed correctly, a user may be confused about shifting the transmission. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to update the instrument cluster software.
20194392019-08-29. Brakes. Issue: On certain trucks, the front brake piston seals might be contaminated. This could cause the seals to swell and result in brake drag, causing overheating of the brake pads, brake rotor, and brake fluid. This would affect brake performance. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the front brake calipers, front rubber brake lines, and bleed the brakes.
20193262019-06-28. Fuel System. Issue: On certain trucks equipped with a 6.7 L Cummins diesel engine, the end fitting on the engine fuel lines may have been formed incorrectly. Safety Risk: Daytime running lights that are too bright could cause glare for oncoming drivers. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the central body controller with new software.
