Service bulletins for the 2014 Ram 1500
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| P13040214 | 2018-06-11. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE. New Safety Recall Advanced Communication ? P13040214 Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) announced a safety recall on certain 2014 model year (DS) RAM Truck (1500 series). The transmission case may have an improperly machined park rod guide plate mounting surface. This could cause a loss of park rod guide plate fastener clamp load and eventually the park rod guide plate fasteners may loosen. A loose park rod guide plate and fasteners may not allow the park pawl to fully engage. This condition could cause unintended vehicle movement and cause a crash without warning. Chrysler will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all involved vehicles to inspect the transmission case. Transmissions found with an improperly machined park rod guide plate mounting surface must be replaced. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established methods used in the past. We ask that you please take the time to ensure that your personnel are aware of this communication and are prepared to execute a customer friendly process for inquiries on involved vehicles. |
