122-Y9K4F-092018-11-19. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Symptom: During and after race track use, loud noises can sometimes come from the wheel assembly on the rear axle - particularly on bends. Cause: Particles of dirt on the contact surfaces can cause micro-movements in the wheel assembly on the rear axle (rim/brake disc/wheel hub) and this can result in loud noises. Remedial Action: In the event of a customer complaint, clean the wheel assembly on the rear axle as described under "Work Procedure".

122-Q6N7V-082018-08-20. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS. Subject: Airbag switch Symptom: The airbag warning light in the instrument cluster comes on. Cause: Corrosion at the connection point (TSX5) in the passenger footwell can cause the airbag warning light in the instrument cluster to come on.
122-P5G7U-072018-08-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; ENGINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components (including the oil pump control valve) must be replaced.

Technical Background Adjustment of the top may cause its movement to be slower than the control unit expects. If the control unit does not see a changing signal from the rotation angle sensor within 3 seconds of the pump activation, FC 000042 may be set. Internal or external leaks in the system can also cause the issue (Internal check valve, lines, rams).

Subject: Exhaust system Information: Themonolith in the catalytic converter may be damaged. Remedial Action: To verify catalytic converter damage, both oxygen sensors ? Installation overview of oxygen sensors on engine side, cylinders 1-3 (shown on the 911 Carrera) -1 and 2- can be removed and the catalytic converter examined using a video endoscope prior to any disassembly.

Cause: A plastic foam strip on the headliner can shrink as a result of ageing and high fluctuations in temperature and can become detached. Subject: Symptom: Cause: 911 Carrera/S/4/4S/GTS (991) 911/S/4/4S/GTS Cabriolet (991) 911 Targa 4/4S/GTS (991) 911 Turbo/S Coupe/Cabriolet (991) As of 2017 up to 2018 Rear supporting mount Creaking noise from chassis area at the rear of the vehicle. The spring force of the coil spring may be outside of the tolerance range. The increased transverse force as a result of this can overload the insert in the supporting mount. The piston rod may no longer be guided in centrally and touches against the supporting mount housing. ? This produces the metallic noise.
