Service bulletins for the 2012 Porsche 911
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 122-R2J7H-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Concerns: Electronic logbook in Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.1 Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Implausible entries can appear in the logbook (e.g. negativemileage, double entries) on the affected vehicles due to incorrect PCM software. Earlier entries in the logbook can even be overwritten in some cases. |
| 122-M6L9B-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Concerns: Electronic logbook in Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.0 Imformation: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. Implausible entries can appear in the logbook (e.g. negativemileage, double entries) on the affected vehicles due to incorrect PCM software. Earlier entries in the logbook can even be overwritten in some cases. |
| 122-X7S6C-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY; POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION. Concerns: Electric change-over valves Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. There is the possibility that electric change-over valves, which may be susceptible to the ingress of moisture due to insufficient sealing, were installed in the affected vehicles. This can cause the change-over valves to malfunction over time. As a result, control over the closing valves in the clutch cooling system (PDK) and gear wheel set (PDK and manual transmission) may be impaired. In extreme driving situations (e.g. race starts, high ambient temperature, frequent gear changes), the transmission or clutch could overheat. |

| 122-Z5F9U-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on certain 911 Carrera (991) and 911 Carrera S (991) vehicles. The PDK control unit can sometimes be misdiagnosed on the affected vehicles due to a software error if the engine is switched off in selector-lever positions "P" or "D" and is then re-started again in selector-lever position "N". As a result, fault code "P1772 - Gear valve 2 stuck on pressure" is stored in the fault memory of the PDK control unit and the PDK transmission switches to the reduced driving program until the ignition is switched off and on again. |
| 122-D6U5E-06 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Concerns: PDK control unit Information: This is to inform you of a voluntary Workshop Campaign on the above-mentioned vehicles. A shift rod movement at a shift gate that was not selected can be detected incorrectly on the affected vehicles due to a software error. As a result, fault code "P1767 - Hydraulic multiplexer fault" can be stored in the fault memory of the PDK control unit and the PDK transmission can switch to the reduced driving programme until the ignition is switched off and on again. |
| TI-64-12 | 2013-01-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:CLUTCH ASSEMBLY; STEERING:GEAR BOX (OTHER THAN RACK AND PINION). PORSCHE: DUE TO INSUFFICIENT SEALING, ELECTRIC CHANGE OVER VALVES ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO MOISTURE AND CAUSES CHANGE OVER VALVES, OVERTIME, TO MALFUNCTION AND THE CLUTCH COOLING SYSTEM (PDK) AND GEAR WHEEL SET MAY BE IMPAIRED. MODELS 2012-2013 911 CARRERA AND 911 CARRERA S. *PE |
