| 32-025 | 2024-12-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Info Only Unnecessary starter replacements can result from customer complaints regarding engine starting issues. A new Starter Troubleshooting Guide has been created to provide a comprehensive list of starting system checks, which should reduce unnecessary starter replacements and associated warranty claims. Engine starting system warranty claims now require a completed Starter Checklist, a Battery Pack Midtronics Report, and a Cable Drop Midtronics Report. Claims filed without these documents may be denied. |
| 24PBGC | 2024-08-03. Service bulletin. STEERING. SAFETY RECALL Repair parts and procedures are now available. Certain Peterbilt vehicles from Model Year 2025 may contain steering gear(s) with sector shaft gear teeth that may prematurely wear, crack, or fracture and interfere with the steering gear mechanism. This may lead to steering gear binding, which may increase the risk of a crash. |
| 98-026 | 2024-06-04. Service bulletin. SEATS. Information Only New tools are required to support PACCAR TX-8 / ZF transmissions. Part numbers E0l-1012 (Adapter, Jack TX-8), E0l-1014 (Front Seal Installer), and E0l-1015 (Rear Seal Installer) are currently available to order |
| 41-027 | 2024-06-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE. On certain Peterbilt, New Medium Duty chassis that are equipped with the optional engine intake air Pre-Filter (option code 3281830) the Pre-Filter may become clogged and cause premature failure/breach of the primary intake air filter. In some cases, a failed/breached primary filter can result in unusually high engine RPMs and high crankcase pressure. However, a failed/breached primary filter may not exhibit any of these symptoms. The immediate fix for this issue is to modify the Pre-Filter by removing the filter media from the base plate, and then reinstalling the modified Pre-Filter base plate. |

| 24PBE | 2024-04-03. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. INTERIM Safety Recall Parts are not currently available for this safety recall. This bulletin will be updated once repair parts are available. The right-hand shift stalk may have an improper wire harness terminal crimp within the wire harness connector. Loss of communication between the right-hand shift stalk and the transmission may result in the vehicle becoming disabled after it comes to a stop thereby increasing the risk of crash or injury. A transmission fault will appear on the dash display if communication is lost. |
| Fuse Holder | 2024-03-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. The battery box located directly under the driver's side doorsteps of the cab is equipped with a 50A fuse and fuse holder that is connected directly to the battery for constant power. This fuse powers a 70A relay that is used for the safety systems of the truck and is located on the right rear side of the battery box. Due to the fitment of the battery box lid from the chassis manufacturers, moisture and debris are able to fall through the space between the battery box lid and side of the battery box body. This may lead to corrosion of the fuse and holder, which may result in failure of the fuse, loss of current flow, and ultimately the inability to operate the truck. This quality issue affects Kenworth T380 and Peterbilt 537 chassis on Jarco propane bobtail units produced from January 2023 until January 2024. |

Mirror glass lock rings must be inspected and, if necessary, reseated. |

Certain 536, 537, 548, and 567 chassis built with 2.1m Medium Duty End of Frame Trailer Connections and Tractor Protection Valves may not meet the standard trailer brake release timing requirements by 0.5 seconds. A delay in the trailer brake release may create momentary instability to the trailer and increase the risk of a crash. |
| 23PBJ | 2023-11-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR. Certain 536, 537, and 548 chassis built with 2.1m Medium Duty End of Frame Trailer Connections may exceed the standard trailer brake release timing requirements by 0.5 seconds due to the size of the tractor protection valve fitting and hose. A delay in the trailer brake release can create instability to the trailer and increase the risk of a crash. |
| 23PBE | 2023-09-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Safety Recall Certain vehicles built with TX-8 transmissions with flange mounted yokes may not have a locking feature installed on fastener threads. This may allow the driveline fasteners to become loose, increasing the risk of a crash. |
