The affected vehicles may be equipped with Tire and Rim Certification Labels that list a tire pressure below the actual correct amount. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 120, "Tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a GVWR of more than 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds)." Built 2005-07-25 to 2016-02-26. |

The affected vehicles may be missing required information from the certification label, specifically the tag or pusher axle the gross axle weight rating, suitable tire and rim information, and recommended tire pressure information. Without this information, the vehicles do not comply with the requirements of 49 C.F.R. Part 567, "Certification." Built 2003-04-03 to 2013-10-25. |
| 10V634000 | 2010-12-13. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. PACCAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007-2008 KENWORTH AND PETERBILT VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM FEBRUARY 2, 2006 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2007. THE BEARING SURFACES OF THE EXTENDED LUBE UNIVERSAL JOINT THAT ATTACHES THE INTER-AXLE DRIVELINE TO THE DRIVE AXLE MAY BECOME PREMATURELY WORN DUE TO BREAKDOWN OF LUBRICATION AND/OR EXCESSIVE HEAT. PREMATURELY WORN BEARING SURFACES MAY RESULT IN THE U-JOINT BECOMING LOOSE AND/OR BINDING. THIS CONDITION MAY RESULT IN UNIVERSAL JOINT FAILURE, ALLOWING THE INTER-AXLE DRIVELINE TO DETACH FROM THE AXLE. Built 2006-02-02 to 2007-04-30. |
| 08V104000 | 2008-03-10. TRAILER HITCHES. PACCAR IS RECALLING 318 MY 2007-2009 KENWORTH T800, W900, AND PETERBILT 357, 365, 367, 378, 379, 384, 385, 386,388, AND 389 TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH PREMIER TRAILER HITCH ASSEMBLIES. THE PINTLE HITCH ASSEMBLIES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED IN A MANNER RESULTING IN A REDUCTION OF FATIGUE STRENGTH OF THE PIVOT PINS. Built 2006-06-01 to 2008-01-31. |
| 07V132000 | 2007-03-22. POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY. ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, THE AXLE HOUSINGS MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH STEEL THAT WAS OUT OF SPECIFICATION WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FATIGUE FAILURE OVER TIME. Built 2006-11-27 to 2007-02-28. |
| 06V490000 | 2006-12-21. SUSPENSION. ON SOME PETERBILT TRUCKS, CERTAIN PARTS USED IN THE AIR SUSPENSIONS HAVE A HIGH COPPER CONTENT CAUSING PREMATURE FAILURE. Built 2006-08-16 to 2006-11-22. |
| 2015095 | 2015-03-05. Label. Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120 - Tire Selection and Rims. The tire information label may indicate incorrect tire pressure, understated by 5 PSI, or a tire/rim/inflation pressure combination for which the maximum GAWR is slightly below the GAWR of the vehicle. Underinflated tires may not be capable of supporting the maximum load as reflected by the GAWR and GVWR specified on the certification label, which could cause tire failure resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Manufacturer will mail new tire and rims certification label. |

| 2010441 | 2010-12-13. Powertrain. On certain vehicles, the bearing surfaces of the extended lube universal joint that attaches the inter-axle driveline to the drive axle may become prematurely worn due to breakdown of the lubrification and/or excessive heat. Prematurely worn bearing surfaces may result in the u-joint becoming loose and/or binding. If undetected, the condition may result in universal joint failure, allowing the inter-axle driveline to detach from the axle, which may cause the vehicle to become disabled in the roadway. Lost propulsion, in conjunction with traffic, road conditions, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. In addition a driveline component separating from the vehicle could strike another vehicle, stationary object, or bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the interaxle driveline universal joint. |
| 2009247 | 2009-08-19. Engine. On certain vehicles equipped with a Caterpillar C15 engine, the Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) oil line may wear against the P-clip retaining the oil line. An oil leak could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Caterpillar dealers will replace the VVA oil line with an updated version. |
| 2007090 | 2007-03-20. Other. On certain trucks, the axle housing may have been manufactured with steel that was out of specification (9.5mm thick instead of 11mm thick), which could result in a fatigue failure over time. If failure occurs, the axle may lock-up or the end of the axle could come off, which may result in a vehicle crash with injury or death. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the axles. |
| 2007025 | 2007-02-05. Suspension. On certain trucks, the adjustable torque rod bracket for the Chalmers rear suspension may contain elevated amounts of tin. The elevated tin content could result in component failure, which could cause erratic vehicle handling and a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the torque rod brackets with an updated version made with correct metallurgical composition. |
| 2006369 | 2006-12-21. Suspension. On certain trucks, components used to attach the air suspension to the axle may contain elevated amounts of copper. The elevated copper content could result in component failure, which could cause erratic vehicle handling and a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace any suspect part with an updated version made with the correct metallurgical composition. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
