Service bulletins for the 2015 Peterbilt 348
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A new Starter Troubleshooting Guide has been created to provide a comprehensive list of starting system checks, which should reduce unnecessary starter replacements and associated warranty claims. Engine starting system warranty claims now require a completed Starter Checklist, a Battery Pack Midtronics Report, and a Cable Drop Midtronics Report. Claims filed without these documents may be denied. |

| 2017-0938 | 2017-08-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. E-ONE vehicles are designed with electrical circuit protection (e.g. fuses), to provide overcurrent protection during short-circuit conditions or malfunction of components. Fuses are sometimes shared amongst different circuits. For example, the circuits for the pump primer motor and chassis power share a common 300Amp fuse. If either of these circuits experiences an electrical overload, the fuse will act as designed to protect the users and the vehicle from further damage. As such, an overcurrent condition in the pump primer circuit will also disconnect main power from the cab and chassis and cause the engine to shut down. |
