NTB16-1162017-10-15. Service bulletin. ENGINE. NISSAN; DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION FOR ABS DTC C1130 SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing for DTC C1130 (ENGINE SIGNAL): ECM related DTCs (P-codes) must be diagnosed, repaired, and DTCs erased first. - DTC C1130 is an ABS DTC that indicates an output signal of the ECM is not recognized. - Absent or incorrect ECM signals, that are indicated by corresponding P-codes, may trigger C1130 in the ABS control unit. - Some vehicle features that can be affected by absent or incorrect ECM signals are: - Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) - Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) - VDC/ABS/TCS

NTB16-068c2017-08-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. 2016-2017 TITAN XD; TRANSMISSION SHIFT QUALITY ISSUES This bulletin applies only to vehicles equipped with a Cummins 5.0L V8 Diesel engine. IF YOU CONFIRM Any of the following issues: - When cold (transmission fluid below 140°F [60°C]), there is an engine RPM rise (200 to 500 RPM flare) during the 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift, and/or the 3-4 shift. - While slowing to a stop, a 2-1 down shift bump is felt just before stopping. - Harsh up-shifts. - Shift shock when lifting your foot from the accelerator. - Gear hunting while driving in city traffic. ACTION 1. Compare the vehicle?s current TCM part number to the part number listed in Table A on page 7. - If the current TCM part number matches a part number listed in Table A, follow the instructions in Table A. 2. Save computer data with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus). 3. Compare the vehicle?s current ECM part number to the part number listed in Table B on page 30. - If the current ECM part number matches a part number listed in Table B, reprogram the ECM. - Write saved data. IMPORTANT: The purpose of ACTION (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire SERVICE PROCEDURE as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE INFORMATION Some customers may want to use a coolant heater (engine block heater) for their vehicle when ambient temperatures are below 32°F (0°C). 2016 Titan XD: - Some were not equipped from the factory with a coolant heater or cord. - Some were equipped with coolant heater, but not a cord. 2017 Titan XD: Was equipped from the factory with a coolant heater, but some were not equipped with the coolant heater cord. If a customer chooses to purchase the parts and labor for installation of a coolant heater and/or coolant heater cord, use the Service Procedure in this bulletin for installation instructions.

NISSAN; OIL LEAKING AROUND VALVE TIMING CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE This bulletin applies only to Maxima, Quest, Altima Coupe, Altima, Pathfinder and Murano vehicles equipped with V6 engine OR Titan/Titan XD equipped with VK56 engine IF YOU CONFIRM Engine oil is leaking from a valve timing control solenoid valve, And The valve timing control solenoid valve operates correctly and is not externally damaged. ACTION Replace the valve timing control solenoid valve O-ring with a new one using the Service Procedure starting on page 2.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2016-2017 TITAN XD; CORRECT PARKING ANGLE OF VEHICLE WHEN USING ENGINE BLOCK HEATER SERVICE INFORMATION When using the engine block heater (if equipped) on an Applied Vehicle (engine block heater is plugged in): - Vehicle should be parked on a level surfaces. Or - If a level surface is not available, the vehicle should be parked with the front of the truck lower than the rear (nose down). CAUTION: Use of the engine block heater when parked with the front of the vehicle higher than the rear (5 degrees or more) may cause the engine block heater to become damaged and/or inoperative.

EQUIPMENT; ENGINE. 2016 TITAN XD WITH CUMMINS 5.0L; DPF WARNING LIGHT IS ON IF YOU CONFIRM: The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) warning light is ON AND/OR The Vehicle Information Display states "Exhaust Filter Overloaded See Owner's Manual For Drive Pattern" AND DTC P1451 (Diesel Particulate Filter System Performance) is stored in the ECM NOTE: This DTC will not turn the MIL ON. AND The vehicle has less than 100 miles on the odometer. ACTION: 1. Perform a stationary regeneration. - Go to SERVICE PROCEDURE on page 2. 2. Erase the DTC.

VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS SERVICE CAMPAIGN 2016 TITAN XD WITH CUMMINS 5.0L; HIGH PRESSURE TURBOCHARGER INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on certain specific Model Year 2016 Nissan Titan XD vehicles with Cummins 5.0L to inspect and replace the high pressure turbocharger assembly. This service will be performed at no charge to owners for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC471 to this campaign. The correct number must appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to correct each vehicle falling within the range of this campaign that enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.
