Service bulletins for the 2013 Nissan Titan
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| NTB11012B | 2021-05-10. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. SERVICE INFORMATION If a CD/DVD Player incident is noted, a possible cause may be improper CD/DVD disc care, condition, or usage. This bulletin provides updated CD/DVD Player operation instructions to avoid potential incidents/customer concerns caused by improper care and usage of CD/DVD discs. To aid in solving customer concerns, use the guidelines in this bulletin when speaking to customers or inspecting incident vehicles. - Customers must not use discs that are warped, scratched, chipped, cracked, have abnormal edges or are otherwise damaged. Damaged or poor condition discs may cause the Player internal mechanism to jam or have optical pick-up errors. NOTE - Do not make a Warranty claim against a Player that will not play damaged or poor condition discs as described in this bulletin. See this bulletin for further detail. |

EXTERIOR LIGHTING. 2012-2015 TITAN; HIGH-MOUNTED STOP LAMP SERVICE PART SERVICE INFORMATION The mounting stud diameter for the high-mounted stop lamp service part has changed from 5 mm to 6 mm. If, for any reason, the high-mounted stop lamp needs to be replaced, the mounting hole will need to be enlarged to 6.5 mm (¼ inch) as follows: 1. Remove the high-mounted stop lamp. • For high-mounted stop lamp removal, refer to the Electronic Service Manual: Section DRIVER CONTROLS > EXL – Exterior Lighting System > HIGH-MOUNTED STOP LAMP > Removal and Installation > HIGH-MOUNTED STOP LAMP. 2. Enlarge the high-mounted stop lamp’s mounting holes (see Figure 1 on page 2) using a 6.5 mm (¼ inch) drill bit. To avoid damage to the vehicle, apply light pressure to the drill while drilling. Excessive force may cause the drill bit to penetrate too far and damage the headliner. 3. Apply touch-up paint to the mounting holes to protect the bare metal. 4. Install the new high-mounted stop lamp using M6 mounting nuts. Refer to the PARTS INFORMATION on page 2. |
