Service bulletins for the 2010 Nissan Armada

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NTB11027B2021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; TIRES. SERVICE INFORMATION Temporary tire Flat Spotting is common on New Dealer In-Stock vehicles that have not been occasionally moved. Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90° (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB14033B2021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; POWER TRAIN; EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION Replacement 5-speed rear wheel drive Automatic Transmission (A/T) assemblies and replacement control valves (valve bodies) now come with blank Transmission Control Modules (TCMs). Blank TCMs come without software and must be programmed (not reprogrammed) and then configured after they are installed. When ordering a replacement A/T or control valve, use the Nissan electronic parts information systems to obtain the correct software program part number See this bulletin for further detail.

Inspect the metal surfaces of the pipe/hose joint for damage or contamination. NOTE: Do not replace a refrigerant pipe, hose, or other A/C component if an o-ring seal will solve the leak incident, if it should occur. 2. If no damage is found to the joint metal surfaces, replace the O-ring seal. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB09131B2021-05-10. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:LABELS. SERVICE INFORMATION Because of collision damage or other vehicle repair, a replacement "Certification Label" or "VIN Plate / Label" may be needed. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB160142021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: SENSING SYSTEM: SONAR/ULTRASONIC. SERVICE INFORMATION When diagnosing the front sonar parking sensor for unwanted activation (e.g. sonar activates with no obstacle ahead), inspect the front license plate, front license plate frame and if equipped, the front license plate bracket. See page 2 for example photos. The front sonar parking sensor may activate if the front license plate is bent outward from its bracket (there is a gap between the license plate and the bracket) OR the front license plate frame is bent or loose and is hanging outward, away from the license plate and/or bracket (there is a gap between the license plate frame and the license plate and/or bracket) OR the bracket is loose and is hanging outward, away from the bumper (there is a gap between the bracket and the bumper). If any of these conditions are found, correct it by removing the gap (straighten the license plate, straighten and/or secure the license plate frame, or secure the bracket, as it applies). - Retest the operation of the front sonar parking sensor. If the issue is not resolved, go to ASIST and the related Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for further diagnosis. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB09081C2021-05-10. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. SERVICE INFORMATION The purpose of this bulletin is to give Nissan dealers guidelines to help determine if windshield breakage is covered under warranty or is the customer?s responsibility. Nissan North America (NNA) is not responsible for damage to glass that is a result of objects striking or scratching the glass. However, NNA is responsible for manufacturing issues such as distorted glass and cracks that are due to improper installation or damage to the glass during vehicle assembly. NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB160032021-05-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SERVICE INFORMATION The Intelligent Keys used on the various Nissan vehicles may not be interchangeable between models and years. See this bulletin for further detail.

NTB14057A2021-05-10. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:FLUID/LUBRICANT. SERVICE INFORMATION The information in this bulletin is provided to help ensure correct diagnosis and repair of fluid leaks. All fluid leaks, when properly diagnosed, should be repaired (whether under warranty or customer pay) to ensure proper vehicle operation. However, certain normal operating conditions can be misdiagnosed as a leak requiring repair. Unnecessary repair or replacement of parts in connection with incorrectly diagnosed "leaks" can negatively impact customer satisfaction, be time consuming and costly, and if not performed correctly can lead to future repairs. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB150602021-05-10. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES; WHEELS; BACK OVER PREVENTION; STEERING; EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION When servicing run flat tires or low profile tires: - Special equipment and procedures are required to avoid damage. - Specifically, Tire Pressure Monitor transmitters (TPMS sensors) can be damaged when improperly dismounting and mounting tires. - TPMS sensors becoming damaged during mounting or dismounting tires are not covered under warranty. - To avoid such damage, ensure that the tire changer being used and the operator of the tire changer is capable of servicing run flat and low profile tires. - Operator?s manuals for such tire changers must be followed. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB150552021-05-10. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL. SERVICE INFORMATION After ECM reprogramming, the Calibration Verification Number (CVN) needs to be automatically calculated prior to State emissions testing (also known as Inspection Maintainence, I/M, or SMOG testing depending upon location). Allowing the vehicle to idle for 22 minutes will allow for faster CVN calculation. It is recommended that customers utilize this method if the vehicle needs to be tested for emissions soon after ECM reprogramming. See this bulletin for further detail.
NTB150362021-05-10. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SEAT BELTS; EQUIPMENT. There is no instruction in the Owner?s Manual on auto-lock function deactivation. All doors unlock automatically when the ignition is placed in the OFF position (models with Intelligent Key system) or when the key is removed from the ignition switch (models without Intelligent Key system). The auto-unlock function can be deactivated by the driver in accordance with Owner?s Manual Instructions. Please see this bulletin for further details.
NTB99060G2021-05-10. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION NOTE - Failure to follow the procedures in this bulletin may result in the denial of a warranty claim. In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. See this bulletin for further detail.
