Complaint The Apple Carplay interface cannot be controlled via the center console touchpad or the right-hand steering wheel touchpad. Cause A setting on the iPhone may prevent control via the touchpad Remedy To remedy on the affected iPhone, navigate to "Settings" -> "Accessibility" -> "Touch" and turn the "BackTap" option OFF.

Complaint Height adjustment of electric steering column adjustment jammed in the top/bottom adjustment position (e.g. with Easy Entry function). Cause Height adjustment moves to the top/bottom limit stop and jams. 1. Steering column height adjustment transmission 2. Seat control unit software Remedy There are 2 repair procedures to follow depending on vehicle (differentiated according to model and vehicle manufacturing date) 1. Replace repair kit for steering column height adjustment 2. Perform software update of driver's seat control unit
SC-20220100082022-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2021-22 A-Class (177 platform), CLA-Class (118 platform), CLS-Class (257 platform), E-Class (213 and 238 platform), GLA-Class, GLBClass (247 platform), GLC-Class (253 platform), GLE-Class, GLS-Class (167 platform), and GT-Class (290 platform) vehicles, the software for the MBUX control unit does not correspond with the latest series production configuration, and subsequently, navigation may not be available. What We’re Doing MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the MBUX control unit software.

Complaint No longer possible to adjust the temperature at the "Touchscreen Rear" (part of Rear Business Package, code 224) Cause Software error in the head unit. Remedy Warning: Replacing parts does not solve the problem! A software remedy for the head unit is currently in development. Complaint Sporadic warning message in instrument cluster "Engine oil pressure stop switch off vehicle" (or similar) is shown in red on vehicles with low mileage. Cause Directional control valve may stick. Remedy 1- Read off oil level in instrument cluster and correct if necessary. 2- Perform approx. 10-15 engine starts, then clear fault codes. 3- Perform road test with vehicle. If fault code reoccurs during road test: Install new directional control valve.
