Service bulletins for the 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NCU-HU SW Update2023-09-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2018-2023 C-Class, EQE, EQE SUV, EQS, EQS SUV, GLC, GLE and S-Class (206, 295, 294, 297, 296, 254, 167 and 223 platform) vehicles, the communication module software does not correspond with the latest series production configuration. The update is free of charge and will be carried out in the background. The installation will eliminate software errors for a better entertainment experience. The update will show after the ignition has been cycled. MBUSA will conduct an OTA service campaign. A workshop visit for the customer is not required since remote software updates are automatically downloaded and installed in the customer’s vehicle. The OTA may be validated as successful on the customer’s Mercedes Me connect app under “Over-the-Air Vehicle Updates” as “Update for the communication module”. If the OTA is successful it will show a green “installed” and date of installation in the Over-the-Air update section.
LI77.25-P-0737492023-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE. Rear spoiler sporadically remains in opened position or does not extend and a fault message appears in the instrument cluster. The rear spoiler can then no longer be retracted manually using the button. The function of the rear spoiler is re-established after an ignition reset and the fault message is no longer present in the instrument cluster. Possible causes: • Coding of the AMG DRIVE UNIT for recognition of Hall sensor when retracting rear spoiler. • Hardware tolerances / hardware wear If new software for the AMG DRIVE UNIT is available, carry out the software update. If the vehicle already has the most current version of the AMG DRIVE UNIT software installed, conduct SCN coding of the AMG DRIVE UNIT. Then check the currently learned actual values under the path "DRVU -> Actual values -> Rear wing sensor system" (print AV screen prior to completing initialization -- if necessary): If the values are all within the target range (green): --> Subject the vehicle to a final inspection/test drive and, if the findings report is OK, return it to the customer. If the values are not within the target range (red): --> Re-initialize the rear spoiler (if necessary up to 5x) until all values are in the target area (green).
