Service bulletins for the 2024 Mazda CX-90

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SA-079-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain about color discrepancies (brightness differences) of the image displayed on the screen when using the 360°view monitor. As this phenomenon is not a system failure, do not make any repairs or replace any parts.
15-005-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some vehicles may exibit the BSM indicator light on the outer mirror glass delayed while driving at low speeds. This is caused by improper control logic of the side radar sensors where detection delay may occur in a specific driving environment. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the side radar sensors has been modified.
09-046-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates when driving at high speeds at approximately 60 mph (100 km/hour ) or more on bumpy roads such as road joints, coarse-grained paved roads or rough roads. This is caused by insufficient hardness of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass. To eliminate this concern, the material of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass has been improved and the tape location has been modified.
09-039-23a2024-01-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Some customers may experience no sound from the audio system and/or the audio source cannot be changed. This concern may be caused by the remote tuner not operating properly under certain situations. To eliminate this concern, the remote tuner control software has been modified.
03-001-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. Some vehicles may experience differential oil leaking from the oil seal (RH side) at the front differential. This is caused by an inappropriate assembly process of the front differential to the oil pan (vehicle side). To eliminate this concern the front differential assembly process has been changed.
02-002-23c2024-01-05. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some vehicles may exhibit a creaking or squeaking noise from the front of the vehicle when traveling over a bump while turning at low-speed. This is caused by a stick-slip phenomenon occuring between the rubber bushing and the stopper on the rear of the front lower arm (1). A mass production change is under study.
01-012-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Some vehicles may exhibit a high-frequency noise from the fuel pump. When the fuel temperature is high, vaporization may occur in the return fuel from the pressure regulator valve assembled on the fuel pump unit. In that situation, the spring in the pressure regulator causes self-excited vibration, resulting in the high-frequency noise. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the pressure regulator valve in the fuel pump has been modified to control self-excited vibration by reducing pressure differences in the valve path.
09-045-232024-01-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some customers may experience a “Telematics Malfunction” message in the instrument cluster with DTC U3000:04-TCU (Telematics communication unit internal malfunction) stored in memory. This is caused by improper control software of the telematics communication unit (TCU). To eliminate this concern, the control software of the TCU has been modified.
09-044-232024-01-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may exhibit the front end of the rear door glass run-channel (1) coming off from the rear door.

SSPD3- 2024 CX-90 (PHEV) - OBD II AC Refrigerant Pressure Detection Concern: On certain CX-90 vehicles, air conditioner refrigerant pressure malfunction may not be judged correctly due to inappropriate failure judgement program of PCM. The repair will be reprogramming the PCM and ECU with the modified software with MMDS, using MDARS. There are 6,089 vehicles in the campaign.
SSPD2a2024-01-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. SSPD2 - 2024 CX-90 (All) - OBD II Transmission Solenoid Detection Concern: On certain CX-90 vehicles, the judgement of solenoid electrical failure may not be made correctly due to inappropriate control program of TCM. The correct judgement cannot be made and even if the solenoid is returned to the normal condition after the electrical failure is judged. The repair will be reprogramming the TCM with the modified software with MMDS, using MDARS. There are 8,041 vehicles in the campaign.

SA-083-232024-01-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This Service Alert provides information for the following symptoms. Although Battery State of Charge (SOC) is full, Maximum Driving Distance Display shows 1 mile (1 km). Although Battery SOC is full, the vehicle cannot drive using EV mode (using electric motor power only) and will use HEV mode (using both electric power and a gas engine. This is caused by low ambient temperature and low battery temperature. EV mode is suspended until the battery warms up to protect it from degradation and the gas engine will power the vehicle. This is normal operation. If the battery pack is able to warm up, EV mode will start and the display will change to show the correct Maximum Driving Distance Display for EV mode.
