| SA-075-22 | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. If you encounter any type of electrical concern (e.g, dead battery, engine no start, DTC(s) stored...), interview the customer before proceeding with normal MGSS diagnosis by asking if any aftermarket devices have been installed. Aftermarket devices may be the cause of the electrical concern. Below are a few examples of unusual electrical concerns caused by aftermarket devices. Examples: 1. Devices connected to the DLC-2 (battery discharge/DTC stored) 2. Cell phone charger/accessory in 12V socket (engine no start or unable to turn off) 3. GPS tracking device (engine no start/battery discharge) 4. Dash cam (DTC stored) 5. Non-certified USB cable (Apple Carplay™/ Android Auto™ will not connect) 6. Over-sized wheels/tires (incorrect GPS location) |

Some customers may complain the HVAC system not maintaining the correct temperature or the ambient (outside) temperature reading incorrectly. This is caused by a failure in the ambient temperature sensor. To correct this issue, the ambient temperature sensor has been modified. |
| SA-064-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may comlpain about an intermittent Beep sound (popping sound) every 1 ~ 2 minutes while driving. This may be cause by a software error in the navigation SD card. |
| 16-004-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain that Mazda Connect does not start (blank screen) or that it takes a long time to restart/ reboot after starting the vehicle. This is caused by the initialization process with the CMU failing at startup due to a defective circuit board element. To eliminate this concern, the internal hardware (DRAM) of the CMU has been improved. |
| 09-018-22b | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience the symptoms mentioned below, which can be fixed with the latest software update (Version 74.00.324 or later). The system performance has been improved as follows: Ver. 74.00.324 fixes these software errors (bugs): * If the shift lever is operated quickly while displaying the CarPlayTM screen, the rear view screen may not return to the CarPlayTM screen. * When the gear position is shifted into P from R, the screen may not return to the previous condition before shifting into the R position. |
| 01-011-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. - DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. To eliminate this concern, the design of these valve seals has been modified. |
| 02-004-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some customers may complain of signs of oil on the struts or shock absorbers. In most cases the oil that is present is normal, and a result of the oil that remains on the shaft during the normal sweeping process of the shaft seal. Follow the inspection guidelines below to determine if the condition is a result of the normal sweeping process or a failure of the shaft seal. |
| 07-003-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain about poor A/C performance due to low refrigerant. This may be caused by one of two things. Cause 1: [For 2016-2022 CX-9 with VINS lower than JM3TC******617612 (produced before April 7, 2022)] The condenser is corroded causing leakage of the A/C refrigerant. To eliminate this concern, the anti-corrosion performance of the condenser tube has been improved. Cause 2: [For all 2016-2022 CX-9] The low-temperature side outlet pipe leading to the evaporator of the air conditioner condenser has deteriorated because the structure around the outlet pipe on the low-temperature side of the air conditioner condenser allows mud and salt water to adhere easily. There is no mass production change, but an improved condenser was designed as needed. |
| 01-011-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may have a "OW ENGINE OIL LEVEL" warning message and a CHECK ENGINE light illuminated in the instrument cluster with DTC P250F:00 stored in memory, and the oil level has actually decreased to near low. * DTC P250F:00 - Engine oil level signal: engine oil level low This is caused by an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. To eliminate this concern, the design of these valve seals has been modified. |
| SA-068-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. The new SKYACTIV-DRIVE FW6A-EL AT uses "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Type: FZ". Only use "ATF-FZ" to fill or top off the fluid level. ATF-FZ is specially designed for use in the SKYACTIV-DRIVE series AT. It is a low viscosity formula with less friction for better fuel economy. NOTE: ATF-FZ is colored blue for easy identification. |
| SA-067-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about the following message displayed in the Multi-Information Display: In the following cases, the MRCC with Stop & Go function system is canceled when the vehicle is traveling at 19 mph (30 km/h) or less: * The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) cannot detect target objects due to one of the following: - The windshield is dirty - The FSC lens is foggy - There is low visibility due to rain, fog or snow - It is at night and there is not enough light - There is direct or reflected sunlight on the FSC - There is problem with the FSC * There is a problem with the AUTOHOLD control function. * There is a problem with the electric parking brake (EPB). |
| SA-066-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. | 09-032-22a | 2022-10-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience the seat ventilation system still on after the engine has been turned off, in some cases this causes the battery to be completely discharged and not rechargeable. This is caused by a deterioration in the seat ventilation control unit. To eliminate this concern, the material for the circuit of the seat ventilation control unit has been modified. |
| 09-030-22a | 2022-10-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may experience the MyMazda App not communicating to the vehicle properly which may result in the condition monitor information is not refreshed or remote door lock/unlock not functioning. This is caused by a failure in communication between the telematics communication unit and the MyMazda App. To correct this issue, the control software of the telematics communication unit has been modified. |
| 09-020-22a | 2022-10-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a warning message displayed in the center display a few seconds after the brake system warning light in the instrument cluster has flashed for a moment at the time of departure or stop of the vehicle. This is caused by improper control logic of the gateway unit (GWU). To eliminate this concern, the logic of the GWU has been changed so that a failure determination is not made unless a signal of the brake fluid level sensor lowering has been continued for more than 5 seconds. NOTE: - This modification is only to prevent the warning message displayed in the center display due to changes in the fluid level. Therefore, the brake warning light may be still momentarily illuminated in the instrument cluster when the fluid level fluctuates by vehicle movement. - If the brake system warning light still stays on, the brake fluid amount may be low. In that case, diagnose the vehicle according to the instructions on MGSS. |
