In most cases the oil that is present is normal, and a result of the oil that remains on the shaft during the normal sweeping process of the shaft seal. Follow the inspection guidelines below to determine if the condition is a result of the normal sweeping process or a failure of the shaft seal. |
| 07-003-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain about poor A/C performance due to low refrigerant. This may be caused by one of two things. Cause 1: [For 2016-2022 CX-9 with VINS lower than JM3TC******617612 (produced before April 7, 2022)] The condenser is corroded causing leakage of the A/C refrigerant. To eliminate this concern, the anti-corrosion performance of the condenser tube has been improved. Cause 2: [For all 2016-2022 CX-9] The low-temperature side outlet pipe leading to the evaporator of the air conditioner condenser has deteriorated because the structure around the outlet pipe on the low-temperature side of the air conditioner condenser allows mud and salt water to adhere easily. There is no mass production change, but an improved condenser was designed as needed. |
| SA-068-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. The new SKYACTIV-DRIVE FW6A-EL AT uses "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Type: FZ". Only use "ATF-FZ" to fill or top off the fluid level. ATF-FZ is specially designed for use in the SKYACTIV-DRIVE series AT. It is a low viscosity formula with less friction for better fuel economy. NOTE: ATF-FZ is colored blue for easy identification. |
| SA-067-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. | SA-066-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may have one of the following DTCs stored in memory along with a system status notice on the Multi-information display OR display a system status notice with no DTC: * C1001:92 - Forward sensing camera (FSC) poor field of view [Gen 6 vehicles] * B14F0:92 - General temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC) [Gen 7 vehicles built on or before March 2, 2019] * No DTC - Warning Message only [Gen 7 vehicles built after March 2, 2019] DTC C1001:92 or B14F0:92 set as a past record for low visibility of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. * In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). * In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern. NOTE: In most cases, no dealer visit is necessary. |
| SA-008-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. |
| 01-010-22 | 2022-10-06. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some customers may experience a squeaking noise may be heard from the exhaust manifold when the idle speed drops from fast idle to normal idle speed during cold start. This is caused by a variable valve being stuck in the closed position. When returning from fast idle to normal, the stuck valve suddenly opens due to thermal change around it which causes abnormal noise. To eliminate this concern, the internal design of the exhaust manifold has been modified. |
| 07-003-22 | 2022-09-06. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain about poor A/C performance due to low refrigerant. This may be caused by the low-temperature side outlet pipe leading to the evaporator of the air conditioner condenser deteriorating because the structure around the outlet pipe on the low-temperature side of the air conditioner condenser allows mud and salt water to adhere easily. There is no mass production change, but an improved condenser was designed as needed. |

There may be cracks at the stud bolt hole or at the outside of the exhaust manifold. Cracks may be caused by: - Deformation of the exhaust manifold during usage causing unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. - Residual stress generated during production in the cylinder head material may be greater than expected. The external force from the exhaust system when driving over bumps may cause unexpected force to certain areas of the cylinder head. To eliminate this concern, the design of the exhaust manifold gasket and the cylinder head has been modified to reduce the force on the cylinder head. |
