Service bulletins for the 2017 Mazda CX-9
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.
513 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

The PCM turns the master warning light on during the first drive cycle, then stores a pending DTC. The master warning light and check engine light come on in the second drive cycle as a confirmation of the DTC. The engine power is limited by the fail-safe function both in the first and second drive cycles. DTC P130C:00 - (Pre-ignition detected), DTC U0401:00- (ABS) (Signal error from PCM) Improper control logic of the PCM detects a normal operating noise as a knocking noise.
