Service bulletins for the 2024 Mazda CX-50
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle systems. Mazda recommends dealers follow the scheduled maintenance tables as cited in the vehicle-specific workshop manual or owner's manual. Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers. |

| SA-014-24 | 2024-03-06. Service bulletin. TIRES; WHEELS; TIRES:SIDEWALL. Some customers may complain that the tire sidewalls are distorted or "damaged". Sidewall waviness/indentations/undulations are common on radial tires and are more noticeable on tires with taller sidewalls. The higher the tire pressure, the more noticeable the effect will be. Be sure to set the tire pressures at the recommended tire pressure on the vehicle tire label. Sidewall indentations are a cosmetic condition that does not affect the performance of the tires. |
| SA-013-24 | 2024-03-06. Service bulletin. WHEELS; SUSPENSION; TIRES. Some vehicles may exhibit a steering shimmy or body vibration during the PDI test drive or during the first few miles of driving after the vehicle has been delivered to the customer due to flat spots on the tires. Flat spots on tires may be caused by improper maintenance during dealer storage (e.g.: Vehicle was left stationary for a prolonged period of time in high ambient temperatures). |

DESCRIPTION This information will give you the necessary knowledge to respond to customers concerns of Smart Brake Support (SBS) unintended braking. By educating the customer on the system operation, it should reduce their anxiety or distrust of the vehicle. IMPORTANT: Humans recognize an object with their eyes and decide whether or not to apply the brakes using their brain. The vehicle recognizes objects using the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and Front Radar sensor (FR), to determine brake application. Therefore, drivers may feel that the operation does not match the human feeling. |

| SA-025-23a | 2024-01-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. When the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) replacement is necessary due to a failure, use MDARS to activate the new TCU after replacement. Use the information in this service alert to initialize the new TCU until the procedure on MGSS is updated.. CAUTION: DO NOT swap TCU with another vehicle as the TCU is VIN locked after activation. A TCU swap with another vehicle will disable Connected Services on both vehicles. If TCU activation is not performed, connected vehicle functions will not operate. This will have a negative impact on the customer because they will need to return to the dealer for repairs. |

Some customers may experience a “Telematics Malfunction” message in the instrument cluster with DTC U3000:04-TCU (Telematics communication unit internal malfunction) stored in memory. This is caused by improper control software of the telematics communication unit (TCU). To eliminate this concern, the control software of the TCU has been modified. |
| SA-080-23 | 2024-01-04. Service bulletin. SEAT BELTS; SEATS. When folding down the rear seat back, there is a possibility that the seat belt buckle may cause a dent on the rear seats. This occurs because the buckle is stored too low on the belt, pressing it between the seat back and the seat bottom. The buckle stop button was moved 100mm upward to reduce the chance this will occur. |
The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
