| SA-051-20 | 2020-06-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Some vehicles may experience an engine no start/no crank with either of the following DTC's stored: P0615:12 - Starter relay circuit malfunction B112A:12 - IG2 relay circuit malfunction. This may be caused by water contamination/corrosion at electrical connector C-04 due to: Windshield tint installation: Windshield tint installed to block UV light. The water used during the installation of the tint may run down behind the dashboard. Carefully inspect the windshield to see if window tint has been installed or not. Some window tint film appears clear and is for UV light only. Windshield repair/replacement: Poor windshield sealing during installation can cause an internal water leak. | 08-001-20-3696 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY. Some customers may experience the airbag warning light ON with DTC B00A0:09 stored in the SAS control module memory when the battery voltage is low. DTC B00A0:09 (Occupant classification sensor internal signal output unstable). This concern is caused by the low voltage detection time of the occupant classification sensor (OCS) being too short during cranking, which causes detection of the DTC unnecessarily. The concern occurs more often in colder weather when greater electric current is consumed to start the vehicle. To eliminate this concern, the OCS has been modified to avoid unnecessary DTC detection. NOTE: Even if the voltage is recovered after the engine is started, the airbag warning light stays ON during the drive cycle. When the battery voltage becomes stable after the engine is started, the airbag system will operate normally. |
| 01-007-20-3691 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit engine overheating and poor A/C performance with DTC P111A:00 stored in memory. • DTC P111A:00 - Engine coolant temperature is high. NOTE: If the concern occurred during high speed driving, this Service Information is not applicable. Diagnose concern according to MGSS online. This concern may be due to improper control module software, which causes the cooling fan to run improperly, resulting in high coolant temperature. The fan control module is integrated into the cooling fan component. |
| 01-006-20-3695 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicle may exhibit a tapping noise from the engine during idling; etc., and synchronized to the engine rpm. It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. • In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). • In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern. Mazda has developed factory recommended scheduled maintenance services that support all major vehicle systems. Services performed outside of Mazda's factory scheduled maintenance are not recommended. These services are unnecessary and create unneeded expenses for your customers. |
| 04-003-20-3668 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some vehicles may exhibit grooves (1) in rear brake disc plate(s), as shown below. This concern is mostly found on new or low mileage vehicles, when the brakes are new. The grooves may be caused through abrasion from the accumulation of metal particles from the rear brake disc plates. The metal particles get caught between the brake pads and disc plates causing groove damage. To eliminate this concern, the disc plate surface honing process has been changed to reduce metal particle formation. |
| 02-004-20-3685 | 2020-02-29. Service bulletin. WHEELS. Some automotive cleaning products contain strong acid or alkali. | SA-016-20 | 2020-02-04. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some customers may complain that their seat warmers or seat ventilation do not turn on when the engine is restarted after being left on when turning off the engine. The logic has changed from previous Mazdas where the seat warmers and seat ventilation automatically turned on when the engine was restarted. NOTE: Customers in cold weather are more likely to complain about this if their vehicle is equipped with Mazda Mobile Start (MMS) (not available on Mazda3 or CX-30) because the MMS accessory instructions state the seat warmers WILL turn on when the engine is restarted. The same can happen in the hotter weather with the seat ventilation. This information is incorrect for these vehicles. Both features will now require a manual setting every time the vehicles are restarted after being turned off. Consult the vehicle’s owner’s manual for more details on proper seat warmer/seat ventilation operation. |
