Some vehicles may experience the check engine light on with DTCs P2096:00, P2097:00 and/or P0524:00 that cannot be cleared by itself, and the check engine light stays on even if the detection condition has gone.• P2096:00 - Air fuel too lean • P2097:00 - Air fuel too rich • P0524:00 - Engine oil pressure too low. This concern may be caused by improper PCM control logic. The PCM software has been modified to eliminate this concern.
01-011-19-3586a2019-08-01. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some customers may experience a check engine light illuminating with DTC P2096:00 stored in PCM memory. DTC P2096:00 - Air fuel too lean. NOTE: This concern occurs only on vehicles with PCMs manufactured by MITSUBISHI. Due to improper control logic of the PCM, a false error may be detected. To eliminate this concern, the PCM software has been modified.
