Service bulletins for the 2017 Mazda CX-5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SA-026-25 | 2025-06-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ENGINE. Instances of coolant leakage have been observed from the EGR bypass hose during maintenance. These issues are typically caused by improper assembly rather than defects in the parts themselves. The pipe includes a brazed R-section (see photo on bottom right). If the hose is installed by pressing it against this R-section, the clamp can shift upward, reducing clamping force and potentially leading to a coolant leak. This Service Alert outlines the correct procedure for assembling the EGR bypass hose and the inspection steps to follow when a coolant leak is detected. |

| 07-004-25 | 2025-05-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. A musty/mildew type odor may come from the vents when the air conditioning (A/C) system is operating. It is most noticeable when the A/C is first turned ON. This odor is the result of mold growth in the A/C evaporator/cooling unit which is caused by condensation, dust, and pollen within the cooling unit. This condition is usually worse during high humidity conditions. “Mazda Air Cooling Coil Coating” is available to encapsulate the mold to reduce odors. If the product is properly applied, it can effectively reduce the musty/mildew odor for up to three years. |
