To correct the concern, the PCM internal failure has been eliminated.
09-016-17-3327a2017-10-21. Service bulletin. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER. Some vehicles may exhibit the driver and/or front passenger side seat warmer(s) malfunction on any mode (High, Mid and Low). This may be caused by repeated load applied to the seat cushion (A) while the seat is occupied. A section of the heater mat (B) just above the reinforcement rod (C) in the cushion pad (A) contacts internal heater mat wire and causes damage (D).
09-024-17-33502017-10-21. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some vehicles (without power seats) may exhibit a driver seat that gradually moves down by itself. This concern may be caused when a load, which is applied to the seat during braking, exceeds a certain level that could impact the retaining mechanism of the seat lifter causing the seat to gradually move downward. To eliminate this concern, the play in the lift mechanism gears has been reduced.
08-002-17-3312a2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. When monitoring the resistance of the air bag modules and pre-tensioner seat belts, the Mazda Modular Diagnostic System (M-MDS) may display a value of only 1/100th of the actual resistance value. This is caused by improper SAS control unit software. To eliminate this from occurring in the future, the SAS control unit software has been modified.
05-002-17-33552017-10-21. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some vehicles may exhibit one of the following concerns: Sometimes the shifter may jump out of 3rd gear over a road bump when accelerating after deceleration at 25-40 mph (40-65 km/h) Hard to shift into 3rd, 4th, 5th, and/or 6th gear Shift lever vibrates when driving in 3rd or 4th gear. This is caused by inappropriate transmission internal parts.
02-003-17-3300b2017-10-21. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:FRONT:SHOCK ABSORBER. Some vehicles may exhibit a knocking / squeaking noise from the front shock absorber when driving on rough roads and/or when turning the steering wheel while the vehicle is stopped. The noise may be due to:? Upper front strut bearing (A) damage. (CX-5 and Mazda6)? Squeak type noise between the front strut bearing and coil spring. (CX-3, CX-5 and Mazda6)? The bump stopper (C) may be contacting the strut bearing when the front shock absorber is compressed, causing a popping noise. (Mazda6 only)? The front lower arm bushing (D) is making a creak type noise in wet road conditions. (CX-5 and Mazda6).
09-017-17-3347a2017-10-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Please explain this to the customer before updating the software. If the customer agrees, turn off the tachometer display on the AD-Display tabin MAZDA CONNECT Settingsbefore performing the update.
06-001-17-3307a2017-10-21. Service bulletin. STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR. Some vehicles may exhibit wear/peel-off of the leather steering wheel surface causing a poor appearance. This concern may be caused by an insufficient wear resistance of the steering wheel surface.
01-005-17-3305a2017-10-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL. Some vehicles may exhibit oil residue on the engine front cover from seepage around the joint portion (A) between the cylinder block and head. It becomes very noticable with dust adhesion. In some cases, the area of oil residue extends down to around the joint portion (B) between the engine front cover and the oil pan. This may be caused by oil escaping from a fine clearance created at the sealant applied to joint (A) between the cylinder block (B) and head (C) when the engine was pressurized during leak testing on the engine assembly line.

DTC C1001:92 sets as a past record for low visibility of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC). It does not mean there is an actual FSC defect. In some cases the customer may have a concern with the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and/or High Beam Control system (HBC). In other cases this DTC might be found without a related customer concern. NOTE: Instrument Cluster Multi-Information Display Warning Messages vary depending on vehicle year/model. SSPA62017-10-04. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS. Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a Special Service Program (SSP) on certain 2016 CX-5 vehicles built from November 1, 2014 through May 13, 2016. Certain 2016 vehicles were evaluated under NHTSA?s new frontal oblique crash test, and the evaluation revealed that the fabric of the passenger frontal air bag may be torn during deployment of the air bag.NHTSA performed a frontal oblique crash being evaluated for inclusion in the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). The NCAP test being evaluated is not a requirement of the current vehicle safety regulations or NCAP ratings, but will be used for NCAP safety ratings for future model year vehicles. Even though 2016 CX-5 vehicles fulfill current vehicle safety regulations, Mazda is conducting this SSP to minimize any potential safety risk. The purpose of this SSP is to reprogram the Sophisticated Air Bag Sensor (SAS) unit with modified software. Bosch will ship a Mazda Diagnostic Reprogramming Tool Kit (MDRT3-1) to all dealers on November 28, 2016. Please refer to the Repair Procedure document posted on MS3 for details.

At that time, the windshield is clear but the lens of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) is foggy. The FSC may not function properly under the following conditions: ? Foggy windshield ? Foggy FSC lens ? Heavy rain, dense fog, snow and direct sun light ? No or poor lane markings. In accordance with Federal regulations, follow the procedure listed below when replacing a speedometer. NOTE: Tampering with a motor vehicle odometer is strictly prohibited by Federal, and State laws. It is the dealer?s responsibility to comply with Federal, State, and local laws concerning odometerand related documentation requirements when providing a repair or replacement. Mazda vehicles are manufactured with tamper-proof speedometers. When a speedometer is replaced, the new speedometer will read zero (0) miles. This procedure is extremely important to accurately represent actual vehicle mileage. Prior to speedometer removal, complete the information required on the ?SpeedometerReplacement Label?.Labels can only be ordered through Mazda eStore. In an effort to achieve a higher level of Customer Experience and retain the value of Mazda?s vehicles, MNAO Warranty Operations is allowing all Mazda dealers to utilize a third party, SPECMO Enterprises, Inc., for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) odometer setting service. With the use of SPECMO?s services, a Mazda dealer can get the odometer setting updated to reflect the correct mileage at the time of replacement for both warranty and customer pay repairs, therefore resulting in a higher level of customer satisfaction. Since odometer setting service is not part of the warranty repair, it is not warrantable nor required, but optional. However, Mazda Warranty policy provides after- warranty assistance (AWA) or DSA that can be utilized to cover this service expense.
