Service bulletins for the 2023 Mazda CX-30

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SA-009-25a2025-09-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may experience a Connected Vehicle failure. The MyMazda App may display an Error Code. This document provides Error Code description and recovery information to assist with repairs.
09-035-252025-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain the rear console lid comes off. This is caused when the spring mounting surface of the rear console lid breaks, causing the free spring mounting part to pop out and interfere with the console panel. The fastening surface of the spring is small, and under high temperatures the rigidity of the rear console PP material decreases, leading to fastening surface damage. To eliminate this concern, a washer was added to better distribute the stress on the mounting surface of the rear console lid spring.
09-012-25a2025-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some vehicles may experience a sunvisor that does not stay in the fully retracted position (as shown below). The left and/or right side sunvisor may lower slightly due to its own weight. The part where the sunvisor connects is broken, so the spring cannot hold the sunvisor in the fully retracted position. To eliminate this concern, the stay holder and spring holder have been reinforced.
01-005-252025-09-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some customers may complain of an engine restart failure after i-stop activation, following a stop after low-speed driving (below 20 km/h). Engine restart is possible with key operation. This problem occurs when an IR request happens during an extremely short period (a few milliseconds) while transitioning to i-stop control, such as when the brake is released. In this case, the engine may fail to restart due to improper i-stop control. This concern has been eliminated through a PCM control software modification.

09-029-252025-08-05. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may notice an abnormal noise (i.e. whine, groan, rattle or squeak) coming from the front combination lights when turning them on, or a few minutes after turning them off. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during the manufacturing process and the fan motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate this concern, the fan motor has been modified. NOTE: It is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after starting the engine, when the front combination lights perform a self check (sweep).
SA-032-252025-07-02. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain about a noisy HVAC blower motor or odor after a cabin air filter replacement. Foreign debris on the blower motor after servicing the cabin air filter may be the cause. During the removal of the cabin air filter, foreign debris (leaves, dust, dirt....ect.) may fall on the blower motor causing a fluttering type noise or odor.
SA-031-252025-07-02. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may report an odor or water in the HVAC system and upon inspection, the cabin air filter may be found to be wet.
SA-030-252025-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE. A tapping/rattling noise may be noticed from the valve train area. This operating condition can occur on new vehicles which have been delivered to Mazda dealers (due to loading and unloading from transport trucks or customers moving their vehicles in and out of their garages to wash the vehicle, etc.). This condition may also occur if the engine is not allowed to warm up after multiple cold starts.

JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard): JIS codes are six-digit alpha-numeric markings molded into the top of the battery to identify a battery by the capacity (amps), dimensions, and battery terminal type. Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. 2. CCA (Cold Cranking Amps): CCA ratings are normally located on a sticker affixed to the top of the battery to indicate a battery’s Cold Cranking Amps. CCA rated batteries are supplied with domestically produced vehicles. NOTE: If an incorrect CCA rating is entered into the Mazda DCA-8000, it will result

SA-025-252025-06-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some vehicles may exhibit wiper blade contact with the A-pillar trim, with or without a chattering noise. This condition may be caused by worn or contaminated wiper blades. It can also be caused by bent wiper arms, or loose wiper arm retaining nuts due to improper handling. Improper handling occurs when pulling on or forcing the wiper arms. Technicians should be aware that while replacement of the wiper blade may resolve some cases, correction of bent components or repositioning of the wiper arms, particularly when the retaining nut is loose, requires additional steps to ensure proper alignment and function.
05-001-252025-06-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some customers may see the A/T warning light on during (or immediately after) engine start-up with DTC P073D:00-TCM stored. 07-004-252025-05-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. A musty/mildew type odor may come from the vents when the air conditioning (A/C) system is operating. It is most noticeable when the A/C is first turned ON. This odor is the result of mold growth in the A/C evaporator/cooling unit which is caused by condensation, dust, and pollen within the cooling unit. This condition is usually worse during high humidity conditions. “Mazda Air Cooling Coil Coating” is available to encapsulate the mold to reduce odors. If the product is properly applied, it can effectively reduce the musty/mildew odor for up to three years.
SA-020-252025-05-03. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. There have been warranty claims submitted for growling or bearing whine noise in differentials, transfer units and transmissions where the source of the noise was a wheel bearing. This misdiagnosis can lead to multiple repair attempts, warranty debits, and additional inconvenience and/or cost to the customer. To reduce the chance of this occurring, please follow the steps outlined in the repair procedure.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
