Service bulletins for the 2022 Mazda CX-30
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 09-013-26 | 2026-04-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. DESCRIPTION Some customers may experience one or both of the following symptoms while locking and unlocking the doors works fine using the remote transmitter. Symptom 1: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not lock the doors after rain and/or car washing, even though unlocking is possible. Symptom 2: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not unlock the doors. Door outer handle touch sensor for locking (1) / unlocking (2) NOTE: If the concern occurs after specific operation as described below, refer to the TSB 09-046/22 (DOOR OUTER HANDLE TOUCH SENSOR DOES NOT LOCK AND UNLOCK AFTER A SPECIFIC OPERATION). 1. [MX-30] After using cabin preconditioning or hazard warning lights for approx.15 minutes. 2. [MAZDA3 and CX-30] After using hazard warning lights for approx. 15 minutes. 3. [MAZDA3, CX-30 and MX-30] When both touch sensors are touched at once. Cause 1 (for Symptom 1): Water may accumulate around the touch sensor in the outer handle, resulting in temporary lower sensitivity of the capacitive sensor. Also, if car wash foam gets inside the outer handle while washing the vehicle, the foam may disturb the touch sensor detection. Mazda is still working on a mass production change for this concern. Cause 2 (for Symptom 2): Improper soldering in the production process may disturb the touch sensor detection. To eliminate this concern, the production process has been modified. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify customer concern. 2. Repair the vehicle depending on the experienced symptom(s). Symptom 1: Follow the "Procedure to waterproof a touch sensor” below to make the touch sensor waterproof. Symptom 2: Replace the front outer handle with a modified one according to the instructions on MGSS. Mazda3 (FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) CX-30 (FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) MX-30 (FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) If both symptoms are experienced: Replace the front outer handle with a modified one and follow the “Procedure to waterproof a touch sensor” below to make the touch sensor waterproof. NOTE: DO NOT repair the other front outer handle for the vehicle if it is not experiencing any problems. 3. Verify the repair by checking if the new outer handle locks/unlocks the door correctly. |
| 09-006-26 | 2026-02-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may report hearing an unusual noise coming from the power liftgate (PLG) when it is unlatching to open or latching closed. This is caused by an internal fault in the liftgate latch and/or loose bolts holding the latch to the liftgate. To eliminate this concern, the internal structure of the latch and surface treatment of the bolts have been modified. |
| 09-002-26 | 2026-02-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. On some vehicles, the front door glass run channel may interfere with the rear door garnish. Since the front door glass run channel is not fixed strongly enough to the door, repetition of door operation may result in interference and damage to the rear door rubber seal. 1. When the front door glass is closed, the glass run-channel may be forced to move to the B-pillar side. 2. Under extremely hot climate conditions, the glass run-channel may expand to the B-pillar side. To eliminate this concern, the fixing force and durability of the glass run channel against thermal expansion and vibration has been improved. The shapes of the front and rear glass run channels and the rear garnish lip have been changed to prevent interference. |
| 09-045-25 | 2026-01-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience that the fuel lid and charge lid do not lock or unlock during door lock/unlock operation. This is caused by: Improper dimensional accuracy of the lid actuator lock mechanism Incomplete control logic in the R-ESU software To eliminate this concern: The mold design of the lid actuator was modified. The control software of the R-ESU was revised. |
| 09-042-25 | 2025-12-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience that after the doors are locked and the Fuel Door Lock Delay with MAZDA CONNECT has passed (default setting is 90 seconds), the fuel-filler lid does not lock, but can be opened when pressed. NOTE: The fuel-filler lid does not lock immediately after the doors are locked, but after the time set in the Fuel Door Lock Delay (0, 30, 60, 90, and 120 seconds). Although the root cause has not been identified, the vehicle should be repaired by adjusting the fuel-filler lid opener cable position when there is a customer complaint. |
| SA-011-25a | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door (AKA, fuel filler door, fuel lid, and fuel-filler lid) was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present. |
| SA-039/25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search. |
| 09-017-25 | 2025-05-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain that it is difficult to open/close the fuel-filler lid when pressed. This is caused by production variances, where if there is an excess gap (3) between the fuel-filler lid panel (1) and the fuel-filler box hinge (2), the operation stroke may be larger than designed and result in a difficult to lock/unlock operation of the fuel-filler lid lock actuator. To eliminate this concern, the operation stroke of the fuel-filler lid lock actuator rod has been changed to reduce the play of the actuator rod. |
| SA-011-25 | 2025-03-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present. |
| 09-007-25 | 2025-02-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit a deformed fuel-filler lid panel (1) attached to the fuel-filler lid box, resulting in a poor appearance. This concern is caused by the lid box not having enough water drainage capability which leads to the accumulation of water inside it. The water then freezes in cold weather and expands or the inner side of the lid panel absorbs the water and swells from long exposure, deforming the lid panel. To eliminate this concern, the shape of the fuel-filler lid box has been modified to have better drainage capability and a modified fuel-filler lid panel service part has been established for less water absorbance. |
| 09-051-24 | 2024-12-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. On some vehicles, the front door glass run channel may interfere with the rear door garnish. Since the front door glass run channel is not fixed strongly enough to the door, repetition of door operation may result in interference and damage to the rear door rubber seal. |
| SA-059-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-019/21 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2021 Mazda3 and 2020-2021 CX-30 are present. |
| SA-058-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. |
| SA-056-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Interior parts made of resin have antistatic coating to prevent dust from sticking on the surfaces, and depending on the conditions of use, the antistatic components may crystallize slightly, giving an appearance of white stains on the surface. To remove the stains, wipe the stained surface with a towel soaked with water mixed with a small portion of a neutral detergent. If the white stains reappear again, simply wipe them again in the same way. |
| SA-050-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that their liftgate does not open. This can mean a range of things, from the liftgate not unlatching to the power liftgate (PLG) not opening automatically. If you confirm that the customer's concern is that the liftgate does not unlatch correctly, follow the repair information below. |
| 09-033-24 | 2024-07-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain that the power liftgate may open unintentionally while the vehicle is stopped or parked. This may be caused when the power liftgate button on the remote transmitter is pressed unintentionally when in a pocket, purse or bag, etc. To eliminate this concern, the Body Control Module (BCM) control software has been modified to optimize the operation parameters for the power liftgate button. NOTE: The operation itself is the same as before (hold the power liftgate button to open). |
| SA-036-24 | 2024-06-04. Other. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain about color discrepancies (brightness differences) of the image displayed on the screen when using the 360°view monitor. As this phenomenon is not a system failure, do not make any repairs or replace any parts. Explain the cause of this occurrence to the customer as follows: The 360°view monitor is a system that provides a complete picture of the vehicle surroundings by combining the pictures captured by 4 separate cameras. These cameras are installed in the front, rear, right and left sides of the vehicle. Each camera has a color adjustment function (white balance) that operates independently from each other, which can result in color discrepancy when the combined picture is displayed on the screen. This is especially true when one of the cameras captures more green objects than the remaining cameras. |
| SA-021-24a | 2024-06-03. Other. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain about intermittent audio no sound from the MAZDA CONNECT infotainment system and/or static noise from the speakers. The concern may be reproduced by tapping on the dash pad near the MAZDA CONNECT center display and the following DTC's may be stored. U0186:08 Communication error with audio amplifier U2145:08 Communication error with remote tuner (RT) U2145:02 Communication error with remote tuner (RT) |

| SA-023-24 | 2024-05-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD. The customer may report a rattling noise from the front of the vehicle under load. It may sound as if it is coming from the dashboard, but it is coming from the hood prop rod (aka lock-bonnet stay). The prop rod diameter was increased in November 2022 production, but in some circumstances, the noise may still be encountered in vehicles after this production range. Follow the repair information below to confirm the noise and how to eliminate it. |
| 09-014-24 | 2024-04-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. When encountering a vehicle with paint damage, refer to the "Mazda Paint Warranty Guide" to determine cause, prevention, remedy, and warranty coverage (if applicable). |
| SA-082-23 | 2024-01-06. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; STEERING. Before judging a steering wheel as having premature wear or a defect, first clean the steering wheel as explained in the repair information. Some vehicles may have steering wheel stains caused by chemicals such as hand lotions. |
| SA-074-23 | 2023-11-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. A customers may experience a roof water leak.
