Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda CX-3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

04-002-21-38092021-06-29. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some vehicles equipped with electric parking brake (EPB) may exhibit a grinding noise from the rear brakes when braking. This may be caused by the rear brake pads not having the capability to remove the rust from the rear brake discs. The red rust accumulated on the discs is exposed to high temperatures during braking, and consequently the rust turns black. As the black rust is too hard to be removed by the brake pads, the rust progress is accelerated, resulting in the grinding noise.

NOTE: Vehicles with SKYACTIV-G 2.5T are not applicable. Due to production variety of the failsafe thermostat integrated in the coolant control valve, engine coolant may enter into a dry hollow in the failsafe thermostat, resulting in unintended opening of the failsafe thermostat at lower temperatures (104-176 °F (40-80 °C)). To eliminate this concern, the production process of the coolant control valve has been modified.
01-008-21-37872021-04-26. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some vehicles may experience a lack of power and the check engine light on with DTC P061B:00 stored in PCM memory under one of the following conditions (A or B). SA-017-21a2021-04-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON WITH DTC P0126:00 AND ENGINE RUNNING COOLER THAN NORMAL / POOR HEATER PERFORMANCE / LOW ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (BLUE) LIGHT ON: Some customers may experience the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON with DTC P0126:00 (Thermostat stuck open) and one or more of the following symptoms: The engine takes longer to warm up. Some customers may experience the airbag warning light ON with DTC B00A0:09 stored in the SAS control module memory when the battery voltage is low. DTC B00A0:09 (Occupant classification sensor internal signal output unstable). This concern is caused by the low voltage detection time of the occupant classification sensor (OCS) being too short during cranking, which causes detection of the DTC unnecessarily. The concern occurs more often in colder weather when greater electric current is consumed to start the vehicle. To eliminate this concern, the OCS has been modified to avoid unnecessary DTC detection.
