Service bulletin 09-022-21-3815

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some customers may complain that the frequency of replenishing the window washer liquid is higher than expected, or they may complain of leakage at around the washer motor (1).This is caused by a crack that may occur at the joint section of the washer motor housing due to an inappropriate assembly process. To eliminate this concern, the design of the washer motor has been modified to not have a joint section.

SA-043-262026-08-04. Service bulletin. This SA supersedes the previously issued SA(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. SA-063/24 09/06/24 DESCRIPTION The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system can malfunction with the following symptoms if the rear side radar sensors are installed facing the wrong direction.
SA-025-252025-06-05. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit wiper blade contact with the A-pillar trim, with or without a chattering noise. This condition may be caused by worn or contaminated wiper blades. It can also be caused by bent wiper arms, or loose wiper arm retaining nuts due to improper handling. Improper handling occurs when pulling on or forcing the wiper arms. Technicians should be aware that while replacement of the wiper blade may resolve some cases, correction of bent components or repositioning of the wiper arms, particularly when the retaining nut is loose, requires additional steps to ensure proper alignment and function.
SA-079-232024-01-05. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain about color discrepancies (brightness differences) of the image displayed on the screen when using the 360°view monitor. As this phenomenon is not a system failure, do not make any repairs or replace any parts.
SA-059-232023-11-01. Service bulletin. When the power windows are operated many times without being fully closed, small errors of the window position sensor may accumulate and cause improper operation of the jam-safe function. To reduce the risk of this occurrence, the AUTO function is disabled if the power window is operated 10 consecutive times without being fully closed (turning the ignition OFF and then ON does not reset the counting). If the power window is fully closed before the 10th time, the counting restarts and the AUTO function is not deactivated.
SA-039-23a2023-10-05. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection.
09-031-20b2023-08-04. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit a distorted image or no image from the rear mount camera when shifted into reverse. Due to friction, the coating of camera socket terminals may wear out, creating high electrical resistance. NOTE: The icons and the messages are displayed normally.
09-031/20a2023-08-04. Service bulletin. Be advised that TSB "09-031/20 - REAR MOUNT CAMERA IMAGE NOT CLEAR/NO IMAGE ON SCREEN" is no longer valid and has been superseded by "RECALL 6023G - 2014-2018 MAZDA3 AND 2016-2019 CX-3 - REARVIEW IMAGE MAY NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY". Use the link below to view the recall: RECALL 6023G - 2014-2018 MAZDA3 AND 2016-2019 CX-3 - REARVIEW IMAGE MAY NOT DISPLAY PROPERLY
09-030-232023-08-03. Service bulletin. Some customers may experience “Ultrasonic sensor malfunction” warning message displayed in the instrument cluster when driving or at a stop. The warning message continues until the ignition is turned off. Upon inspection, one or more of following DTC are detected in the parking assist unit (ultrasonic).
09-014-23a2023-08-03. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may experience white-streak stains appearing on the front door that look like they seeped out from under the outer mirror base. This is caused by water intruding from gaps of the outer mirror body and/or the hinge of the outer mirror, and corrosion occurring on the aluminum die-cast inner base in the outer mirror. Water, including white-salty corrosion, may drip out from gaps under the outer mirror base resulting in white stains on the front door. To eliminate this concern, the front outer mirror inner base has been modified.
00-001-232023-08-03. Service bulletin. In support of the new Mazda MX-5 and CX-3, Mazda will make available for loan on an “as-needed” basis, a Special Service Tool (SST) to allow for the radar aiming of the blind spot monitoring (BSM) system. The BSM radar aiming is performed whenever the BSM control module, the BSM bracket or the rear bumper is replaced.
