Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda CX-3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

MT-005-202020-12-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some customers may complain about high engine oil consumption. Before attempting any repairs, verify the complaint by using the guideline below to determine if an engine repair is necessary: Engine Oil Consumption Inspection Guideline 1. Ask the customer to return to the dealer after 1200 miles to recheck the engine oil level. 4. After 1200 miles, engine at normal operating temperature, check the engine oil level on the dipstick. 5. Is the engine oil level above the low mark on the dipstick? • Yes - No repair is necessary. • No - Proceed to MGSS online or Workshop Manual (section 01-03 NO. 16 HIGH OIL CONSUMPTION/LEAKAGE).
MT-004-202020-12-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Some customers may complain about a tapping or knocking noise coming from the rear seat after fuel fill. 04-007-20-3713a2020-12-03. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE:ELECTRICAL; SERVICE BRAKES; EQUIPMENT. Some vehicles equipped with electric parking brake (EPB) may exhibit a grinding noise from the rear brakes when braking. This may be caused by the rear brake pads not having the capability to remove the rust from the rear brake discs. The red rust accumulated on the discs is exposed to high temperatures during braking, and consequently the rust turns black. As the black rust is too hard to be removed by the brake pads, the rust progress is accelerated, resulting in the grinding noise.

U0131:00 - (ABS) - Lost communication with PCM U0151:00 - (ABS) - Lost communication with restraints control module This concern may be caused when the image processed (in the active driving display) becomes too complicated and stops the CAN communication, resulting in a CAN communication error. To eliminate this concern, the active driving display control software has been modified.
04-007-20-37132020-11-03. Service bulletin. PARKING BRAKE:ELECTRICAL; SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:DISC:PADS; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC.
