Service bulletins for the 2011 Kia Sorento
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.
202 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

PITSTOP: SORENTO (XM) WITH DTC CODES P0449 OR P2422 - SOME SORENTO (XM) VEHICLES MAY SET A DTC FLOW P0449 OR P2422 WHICH MAY BE CAUSED BY SPIDER WEBS IN AND AROUND THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS VENT LINES CREATING THE SET DTC. TO REPAIR THIS CONDITION, INSPECT THE AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY (LOCATED ON THE CCV) AND THE EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS VENT LINES FOR SPIDER WEBS OR DEBRIS BEFORE REPLACING ANY COMPONENTS. THE SPIDER WEBS NEEDS TO BE CLEARED FROM THE LINES WITH A PIPE CLEANER, WIRE OR REPLACEMENT OF THE RESTRICTED COMPONENT (BLOWING COMPRESSED AIR THROUGH THE LINES IS OFTEN INEFFECTIVE). |
