This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the external amplifier on some 2022MY EV6 (CV) vehicles produced from November 17, 2021 through January 7, 2022, that may exhibit symptoms of "noise", "no sound", "intermittent noise", and/or "intermittent no sound". Follow the procedure outlined in this publication to replace the external amplifier. If the vehicle does not exhibit the symptoms, the external amplifier still needs to be replaced if it is included in the list of affected VINs. Before conducting the procedure, verify that the vehicle is included in the list of affected VINs.

PITSTOP: AIR CONDITIONER AUTO-DRY WHILE VEHICLE IS OFF - This Pitstop provides information regarding the new feature Air Conditioner Auto-Dry on some 2022-2024MY EV6 (CV), 2024MY Sportage (NQ5a), and 2024MY Niro EV (SG2 EV) vehicles. Some Kia owners may state that their air condition fans continue to run after the vehicle has been shut off. The Air Conditioner Auto-Dry feature will automatically run the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) fan to dry the inside of the air conditioner system to help prevent mold growth. Kia owners may be unaware of the Air Conditioner Auto-Dry feature.

Drive carefully' or 'Uneven road ahead. Drive carefully' warning which is displayed on the instrument cluster. The current AVN software causes the warning sound and message to repeat approximately every ten (10) seconds, if the vehicle is not in motion, in 'PARK' or driving on even surfaces.

The ICCU in the subject vehicle may get damaged due to an over-current condition in the high-voltage system. This condition may cause the illumination of the "Service Warning Light," "Check electric vehicle system", and/or "Stop vehicle and check power supply" warning messages, along with audible beeps, instructing the driver to stop the vehicle at a safe location.

PITSTOP: MAINTAIN NEUTRAL (N) POSITION FOR AN AUTOMATED CARWASH - This bulletin provides information on how to maintain the Neutral (N) position on 2022MY~ EV6 (CV) vehicles when using an automated car wash. When the vehicle is in 'READY' mode, safety systems are active and can unexpectedly apply either the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) and/or shift into Park (P) when events such as opening the doors, unlatching seatbelts and/or vehicle rollback is detected. This can cause issues when using an automated car wash, particularly those where the vehicle is sent through without a driver.
PS7462023-06-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. PITSTOP: MATTE PAINT FINISH CARE INSTRUCTIONS - This pitstop provides instructions regarding matte paint finish on some 2022MY~ vehicles. Contrary to gloss paint, matte painted surfaces have a unique finish with low gloss due to diffused light reflection. This requires different care (hand wash with special cleaners), to maintain and preserve the matte appearance. Warranty does not cover the vehicle’s matte appearance. Issues with matte paint at PDI should be reviewed with DPSM’s prior to any repairs.

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: BMS DTC JUDGEMENT LOGIC IMPROVEMENT (P1AA600) - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. This bulletin provides information to update the software logic of the Battery Management System (BMS) on some 2022-2023MY EV6 (CV) vehicles produced from November 17, 2021 through February 3, 2023 which have a stored DTC P1AA600. The BMS ECU monitors voltage deviation; if over-voltage deviation between battery cells, poor insulation, abnormal cell voltage changes after charging, abnormal current change during charging, over-voltage, low voltage battery temperature deviation or average cell deviation during driving is detected, the BMU sets DTC P1AA600. This BMS DTC logic improvement will expand DTC P1AA600 into multiple DTCs to aid in proper diagnosis, which reduces the required time and steps outlined in the 'DTC Inspection' on KGIS to determine the fault using 'freeze frame' data.
