Service bulletins for the 2014 Kia Cadenza
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSBENG083_R1 | 2019-02-19. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. TSB: SPECIAL SERVICE INFORMATION & SPECIFICATIONS FOR GDI HIGH PRESSURE FUEL SYSTEM - This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. This bulletin provides information relating to all Kia vehicles equipped with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines. In these engines highly pressurized gasoline is injected via a common fuel rail and injectors that deliver fuel directly into the combustion chamber of each cylinder. In comparison, in a conventional Multi-Point Fuel Injection (MPI) engine, the gasoline is injected into the intake port of each cylinder at a relatively low pressure. Due to high fuel pressure in a GDI system, servicing the GDI system requires special attention and handling procedures. This bulletin provides special service information and specifications for the GDI fuel system components. |
| TSBCHA091 | 2018-12-17. Service bulletin. STEERING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TSB: STEERING GEAR YOKE PLUG AND ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT - This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the steering gear box yoke plug and assembly on some models listed below, which may exhibit a ticking noise while turning the steering wheel with the vehicle stopped. This condition is caused by a worn lining on the steering gear box yoke assembly. Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to replace the steering gear box yoke plug and assembly with updated parts. |
| PS320_R1 | 2018-11-13. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. PITSTOP: ROUGH IDLE AFTER COLD START ON 3.3L GDI ENGINE - When addressing a customer complaint of rough idle, which occurs only on the first start of the day and lasts for 30-45 seconds, check for the possibility of poor injector performance in a particular cylinder. This concern may feel like a misfire, however, it is not an emissions or catalyst damaging misfire and it does not typically trigger any DTC(s). To diagnose this concern, go to KDS ? Data Analysis ? Engine and monitor for Current Misfire Counts on all 6 cylinders, during the first cold start in the morning, to assist in determining which cylinder is responsible for the rough idle condition. Replace only the injector for the affected cylinder. To verify the repair, recheck again after an overnight cold soak to make sure the rough idle condition is no longer present. |
| PS464_R2 | 2018-08-06. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION. | PS496 | 2017-08-25. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. PITSTOP: CUSTOMER TIP: ACCELERATOR PEDAL FUNCTION/DESCRIPTION - On all K900 (KH), Cadenza (VG, YG), and Optima (JF, JFa, JF-HEV, JF-PHEV) vehicles, the accelerator pedal features a small detent with a spring to provide increased resistance to help avoid unnecessary fuel consumption when applying full throttle. When the driver depresses the pedal beyond the resistance where the detent is felt (above 85% WOT), the pedal will easily reach WOT and kickdown shift will occur accordingly. For additional information, refer to the individual vehicle?s Owner?s Manual under section ?Driving Your Vehicle? ? Automatic Transmission (Drive). |

NORMAL OPERATION, DISABLING, AND ENABLING - Starting with 2010MY, all Kia vehicles, except Rio (JB), incorporate a defogging logic to prevent the interior windows from becoming excessively fogged. Depending on the specific model, the HVAC control head monitors ambient temperature and/or cabin humidity to determine which settings will best prevent the windows from fogging. If the system detects lower ambient temperature or higher cabin humidity, the defogging logic may automatically switch ON the A/C, and/or set the air intake mode to Fresh Air. If the user changes these settings, the defogging logic will take control again after 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the procedure in this publication. |
| PS469 | 2017-08-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL.
