Service bulletins for the 2022 Infiniti QX80
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| ITB22-022 | 2022-08-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SOFTWARE UPDATE POP-UP NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The infotainment system in the APPLIED VEHICLES has the ability to update its software through an Over-The-Air (OTA) link. As software updates become available for new features, and/or patches, the software update screen (pop-up) shown in Figure 1 will automatically be displayed. Much like cell phone and computer updates, this is a normal feature which allows the user to choose when an update is downloaded. • It is recommended that while in the retailer inventory and this pop-up appears, that “Yes” is selected to provide the latest software version to the client at delivery. NOTE: If the ignition is turned OFF in the middle of a download, it will automatically restart when the ignition is turned back ON. To avoid risk of death or serious personal injury when updating software: • Park the vehicle in a secure, safe, well-ventilated location that is open to the air and apply the parking brake. • Do not allow people who need assistance, children, and pets to be in the vehicles during the software update. When one of the following is selected: Yes: The pop-up is hidden and the download starts in the background. Later: The pop-up is hidden and displayed again in the next key cycle (after cold start). • To manually start the software update, select: Info > System Information > Software Update > Start Software Update |
| ITB22-020 | 2022-06-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. TELEMATICS CONTROL UNIT RESET AFTER AUTOMATIC COLLISION NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 (Automatic eCAll locked) as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 (Automatic eCAll locked) set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming TCU condition is “UNLOCK”. |
