SERVICE INFORMATION The Applied Vehicles are equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). With an active Infiniti Connection® or Infiniti InTouch Services™, the TCU communicates with the Infiniti Data Center to provide various security and convenience services. This bulletin contains important service procedures that must be performed properly in order to set-up and maintain the telematics system for the Applied Vehicles. Ø A table has been provided on the next page that lists the model and year specific steps required to successfully configure a TCU after it has been replaced. Ø A check OFF sheet has been provided on page 21 to print and check off steps as they are performed. Please staple the completed Check OFF Sheet to the repair order.

COMMUNICATION:MANUFACTURER TELEMATICS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 3G TELEMATICS HARDWARE DEACTIVATION SERVICE INFORMATION The APPLIED VEHICLES that come equipped with a factory installed SOS switch, located near the overhead map lamp, also come equipped with a wireless communication device called a Telematics Communication Unit (TCU). AT&T discontinued its U.S. 3G network coverage on February 22, 2022. As a result, automakers that utilize AT&T’s 3G network connection, including Nissan Group, have had connectivity services affected. INFINITI Connection with InTouch™ Services are no longer available on the APPLIED VEHICLES listed above.

BATTERY QUICK CHARGE NOTICE SERVICE INFORMATION When charging the vehicle’s 12 volt battery with the high amperage quick charge function, the ignition should never be ON, or turned ON, while charging. Attempting to start the vehicle, or turning the ignition ON, while using the high amperage quick charge could potentially damage the fuel pump control module. • Only turn the ignition ON when either the ESM or a technical service bulletin service procedure states to do so, and only while using a battery maintainer or smart charger set to reflash mode, or a similar setting. • Battery voltage should not exceed 16V during a reprograming operation.

EXPIRATION NOTIF2021-01-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Expiration Notification - 2G Telematics Hardware Replacement Campaign Summary In 2016, INFINITI launched a Client Satisfaction Initiative (CSI) that provided clients with an opportunity to update the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in vehicles equipped with a TCU designed to connect to the 2G cellular network. AT&T stopped accepting enrollments on the 2G cellular network, and discontinued its 2G cellular network coverage on December 31, 2016. Once the 2G cellular network was discontinued, there was no access to the INFINITI Connection features without a TCU hardware upgrade. Because AT&T will shut down its 3G network on December 31, 2021, INFINITI is discontinuing this Client Satisfaction Initiative to upgrade from 2G to 3G compatible hardware effective immediately. 3G services will continue to be provided until December 31, 2021. Vehicles equipped with a TCU that connects to the 3G cellular network will have no access to the INFINITI Connection features, including Emergency Calling and Automatic Collision Notification after that time. What Retailers Should Do Service Comm will deactivate PC451, PC452 and PC454 on any VINs on December 22, 2020. No further retailer action is required.

EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. 2013 M AND 2014-2017 Q70; WHISTLE NOISE TRANSMITTED TO CALL RECIPIENT WHEN USING BLUETOOTH® HANDS-FREE PHONE FEATURE IF YOU CONFIRM While using the Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone Feature: - The call recipient (the person receiving the phone call) hears a whistle noise through their phone?s speaker during the call. - The whistle noise is not heard by the call sender (Infiniti customer) during the call. - The whistle noise increases when the engine RPM of the call sender?s vehicle is raised. ACTION Repair the related electrical harness wiring at the Telematics Control Unit (TCU).
