Certain 2015-19MY Sonata (LFA) vehicles equipped with 2.0L Turbo GDI engines need the Electronic Control Module (ECM) software updated to revise the fuel injection control logic to compensate for oxygen sensor aging and control tailpipe emissions within applicable standards.
20-01-004H-32021-01-09. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Applicable vehicles with 2.0L Turbo and 2.4L GDI engines may experience the Check Engine warning lamp illuminated with DTC P1326. Follow the procedure to inspect the vehicle and replace the engine or update the engine ECU software based on the inspection results.
5NP-X6N5X-112017-11-14. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:TURBO/SUPERCHARGER. Some Sonata 2.0T (LFa) vehicles may experience deterioration of the air inlet hose near the turbo inlet. This may cause an air rushing noise and may cause potential damage to the turbo charger.
