This battery diagnosis function displays the various battery-related faults such as: • Internal short circuit • Battery deterioration • Malfunction of electronic parts • Insufficient battery charge • Normal battery • Charging defect Battery diagnosis uses the battery sensor history saved for the last 30 days and ICU diagnostic communication to track battery state of charge (SOC) and current parasitic draw history.

Some models from service campaign 993 (IBU/BCM Software Update and Decals Application) equipped with the Hyundai OEM remote start system may exhibit the horn honking when remote starting the vehicle after receiving the software update. This bulletin provides the procedure to update the remote start module to eliminate the horn honking during remote start operation.

The software update allows the MCA to send the appropriate diagnostics status to the Hybrid Power Control Unit (HPCU) so the DTC can be cleared when the CARB drive cycle has been met. Certain vehicles may experience a check engine light.

22-HC-001H2022-06-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. If you are servicing an applicable model with Hybrid Drive Motor (Traction Motor) improper operation or any DTC listed in the related shop manual, Motor Control System, refer to the shop manual for diagnosis. If the diagnosis indicates a faulty hybrid drive motor, refer to the Service Procedure and replace the hybrid drive motor.
