Service bulletins for the 2019 Freightliner Cascadia

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

771 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

WI21-0012021-01-26. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. Warranty Information Letter for Detroit New Service Replacement Engine SRT Update. While validating Standard Repair Times (SRTs) for Detroit's new Gen 5 engine series, DTNA discovered an error in a pre-Gen 5 SRT for the New Service Replacement Engine Program. As a result, DTNA re-studied the SRT and concluded that time for removing/re-installing multiple components (e.g., exhaust manifold/turbo, engine sensor harness, rocker arm assemblies, etc.) should not be included.
SB54-3422021-01-26. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Freightliner Service Bulletin for Rain/Light Sensor Removal. On New Cascadia vehicles, a delay in the timing of communication (hand shake) between the rain/light sensor (RLS) and sSAM generates fault code "33/521940/12 - rain/light sensor - general DTC timeout", which causes the sensor to stop working.
ICI21-0022021-01-26. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Important Campaign Information Letter for SF576 - Campaign Suspended. New Cascadia vehicles with sleeper cabs may become extremely cold when in A/C mode, which can lead to reduced airflow as a result of internal ice buildup at the evaporator. Durability of the Espar D5 heater system when paired with the battery parked HVAC system (BPHS) can be improved by applying "cool down" software to the parked control unit (PCU).
SB54-3402020-12-12. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Service Bulletin for Pana-Pacific DEA505 Radio Reprogramming. On right-hand drive New Cascadia vehicles built before September 28, 2020, incompatible radio software can cause the Pana-Pacific DEA505 radios (A22-76228-000) to send the Bluetooth audio to the left-hand door speaker.

SB54-3362020-10-12. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. Updated Freightliner Service Bulletin for Rewiring the MPC2 Camera Fuse. This bulletin replaces the version dated 9/15/20. Information has been added about raising the system voltage to normal range to clear the "Lost Communication to MPC" code. The multipurpose camera 2 (MPC2) power is supplied via fuse 14 (F14) in New Cascadia vehicles built before August 24, 2020. With this configuration, fault code 232/524127/9 - "Lost Communication to MPC" becomes active during low voltage disconnect (LVD) situations when load shedding is required to maintain critical systems. These instructions provide the procedure for moving the MPC2 power supply from fuse 14 (F14) to fuse 35 (F35). Moving the MPC2 power supply requires the installation of a new etched vehicle power distribution module (VPDM) cover to document the new MPC2 location.
SB35-0362020-10-12. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN. Freightliner Service Bulletin for Axle Flange Gasket Replaced with O-Ring. Daimler Trucks North America has released a new axle shaft to hub rubber O-ring (part number 11-30728-000) as a replacement for the paper gasket (part number 11-14418-000). The new O-ring will provide better sealing and is reusable. It is quicker and easier to use compared to the paper gasket, because using a paper gasket requires cleaning the hub when the axle shaft is removed.
