Interruption of the forward radar system results in loss of both standard and adaptive cruise functions. The OnGuard system will recover (self-heal), once the issue goes away, but the drivercannot get Adaptive Cruise Control functional until the ignition switch is cycled. Applies to all New Cascadia vehicles built with Cummins engines and WABCO OnGuard.

Certain vehicles may experience the loss of Active Lane Assist (ALA) while driving due to decreased sensitivity of the steering wheel, with no visible indicator to the operator. ALA is an accessory system and the driver controlled steering function including power steering is not affected.

It has been reported that in some cases shipping labels may have been affixed to the inside center of the front cover on aftermarket parts. The shipping label has since been moved to the outer edge of the front cover, which should not affect the RDF's ability to properly sense obstacles located in front of the vehicle.

Cascadia trucks built from January 1, 2017 through September 9, 2019 and equipped with Detroit Assurance correctly initiate an active brake assist (ABA) event when a vehicle or obstacle is detected in front of the truck. Some of those trucks may continue decelerating to a complete stop, even after the vehicle or obstacle detected in front of the Detroit Assurance-equipped truck has moved away.

This VRDU code typically sets after the VRDU gets reprogrammed and parameters to clear out. To prevent this from happening in the future, follow the programming guide laid out in SB 54-308.Parameter changes during flashing can occur if the programming steps are not followed.

The 6-pin connector located at the side radar can show signs of water intrusion if wires are strained at the connector. Wires without strain relief can allow water to intrude past the seals, resulting in corrosion on the terminals and pins within the connector. Active fault codes for lost communication with RDU and SRRM, plus other codes for CPC, CGW and ABS.

The Enhanced Stability Control (ESC) function within the ABS module that applies to the vehicles in your possession needs to be updated for the axle spread values. The ESC with the current values functions as it should, but should be updated to ensure proper calibration in the future.
SB54-3272020-04-17. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Service Bulletin for Lengthening the Backup Light Harness. Though the backup light harness is long enough to connect to the backup light switch, it may be short enough that the wire seals in the connector can be stressed. Moisture entering through the seals can cause corrosion, resulting in a bad connection and/or failure of the switch. As a result, backup lights and, if equipped, the backup alarm, may not function when the vehicle is shifted into reverse.
