Service bulletins for the 2019 Ford Transit Connect

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Bulletins, newest first
TSB 20-23822020-12-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2014-2020 Transit Connect vehicles built on/or after 01-Feb-2013 may exhibit water dripping into the passenger front footwell. This may be due to an excessive gap in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) case allowing water to drip from the case when the air conditioning (A/C) is operating. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reseal the HVAC case.
SSM 481302019-09-06. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR; VISIBILITY. Some 2010-2020 vehicles may exhibit distorted glass with a subtle orange peel pattern or streaking etched into the surface. This is caused by hydrofluoric acid which is used in some car wash solutions as a cleaning agent. Hydrofluoric acid can attack the glass and cause visual distortion and/or discoloration on the outer surface which cannot be removed by further cleaning. If this type of distortion is found, inspect the area of the glass that is covered by the cowl and/or molding. The portion of glass that is covered by the cowl or molding will not be affected by the acid. Hydrofluoric acid damage is not a defect in material or workmanship and is not a warrantable condition.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
