POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:INSTRUMENT PANEL:SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER:SENSOR/SENDING UNIT; EQUIPMENT. 2015-2018 Focus service parts transmissions part # F1FP-7000-VB / F1FZ-7000-P built on 1-Aug-2020 and through 01-Mar-2021 may have an incorrect input speed sensor A (ISSA) shim thickness. This may cause an intermittent input speed sensor diagnostic trouble code (DTC). In the event of shift issues or skip shift events, check and verify that the ISSA speed sensor shim is 2.0 mm (0.079 in) F1FZ-7Z101-A before proceeding with further diagnostics.
16-00622020-12-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Some 2012-2015 Focus vehicles may exhibit inaccurate fuel gauge indication and/or inaccurate distance to empty. The vehicle may also exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0420, P1450, P0443, P0452, P0456, P0460 and/or P2196.
SSM 471302018-05-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Some 2012-2018 Focus Electric, 2013-2017 C-Max Energi, and 2013-2018 Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) may exhibit the high voltage (HV) battery failing to charge while connected to the Delphi 120 volt electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) charge cord. To identify a Delphi EVSE the coupler on the EVSE that connects to the vehicle charge port is solid black. For information on the Delphi EVSE indicator status used for diagnostics, reference High Voltage Battery > Charging the High Voltage Battery in the Owners Guide for a 2018 Fusion Energi. Reference the Convenience Cord Light Emitting Diode (LED) Indicators chart. The Workshop Manual (WSM) is scheduled to be revised at a later date.
SSM 459632017-02-21. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. SOME 2015-2016 FOCUS VEHICLES BUILT ON OR BEFORE 11/18/2015 MAY EXHIBIT AN INCORRECT AVERAGE FUEL ECONOMY READING. FOCUS CLUSTERS HAVE TWO TRIP COMPUTERS (TRIP 1 AND TRIP 2). IF THE CUSTOMER IS USING ONE FOR SHORT TRIPS (RESET AT EVERY REFILL) AND THE OTHER FOR LONG TRIPS (NO RESET SINCE HE/SHE OWNS THE VEHICLE) THE ISSUE MAY BE PRESENT AFTER EITHER TRIP COMPUTER READS GREATER THAN 3219 KM (2000 MILES). REPROGRAM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) TO RESOLVE THE CONCERN, USING IDS VERSION 98.01 OR HIGHER. MAKE SURE YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET WHEN ENTERING MODULE PROGRAMMING TO OBTAIN THE LATEST UPDATES. CALIBRATION FILES MAY ALSO BE OBTAINED AT WWW.MOTORCRAFTSERVICE.COM. USE APPLICABLE 12651D LABOR OPERATIONS IN SECTION 10 OF THE SLTS MANUAL, USE CAUSAL PART 10849 FOR REPROGRAM.
TSB 16-01472017-02-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. SOME 2013-2016 FOCUS ELECTRIC VEHICLES BUILT ON OR AFTER 22-FEB-2013 MAY EXHIBIT AN ILLUMINATED GREEN READY TO DRIVE INDICATOR IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE.
