Service bulletins for the 2018 Ford F-750

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SIL 7902021-04-06. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR; EQUIPMENT. It has been discovered that some hydraulic lines installed by Altec may be in contact with chassis air brake line(s). Some DOT inspections have considered this to be a violation of federal regulation 49 CFR ยง 393.45 b 2. Over time, chafing of the air brake line(s) could result in loss of air pressure and reduction in braking performance. Altec requires the routing of the hydraulic lines to be inspected no later than the next periodic maintenance interval. The affected unit are some T40P cable placers installed on Ford F750 chassis from May 2015 to January 2020
SSM 484502020-02-04. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2016-2019 F-650/F-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine and an air brake system may exhibit inoperative cruise control and/or immediate transmission downshifting when releasing the accelerator pedal. This may be caused by an in range failure of the brake pedal pressure transducer (7920) that does not set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC). The Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) can be used to view the WHEEL TRQ RAW PID in the generic function module (GFM). It displays the voltage value of the brake pedal pressure transducer. The voltage should be between 0.35 volts and 0.65 volts with the brakes released and will increase with brake pedal pressure. An inoperative transducer will not change with brake pedal pressure. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-08 for the location of the brake pedal pressure transducer.
SSM 482992019-12-04. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some 2016-2019 F-750 vehicles may exhibit an excessive or uneven amount (inner versus outer) of front and/or rear brake pad wear. For vehicles exhibiting this condition, it's recommended to use FC4Z-2001-F brake pad kit when replacing front or rear pads. Some vehicle applications will demonstrate improved brake pad wear after installing this kit.
SSM 478012019-04-08. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit concerns related to brake drag. Utilize Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics in section 206-00 to verify the correct installation of the stoplamp switch. Improper adjustment of the stoplamp switch can cause the brake pedal assembly to lightly apply the brakes resulting in dragging condition
SSM 478012019-04-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit concerns related to brake drag. Utilize Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics in section 206-00 to verify the correct installation of the stoplamp switch.
