Service bulletins for the 2017 Ford F-650

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 473432018-07-23. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2015-2018 F-150 and 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a lack of cooling from the heating ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) system due to a low refrigerant charge. Using an ultraviolet (UV) leak detection light, inspect the condenser near the receiver/dryer cap for the presence of dye. If dye is present, replace the condenser. For claiming, use causal part 19712 and applicable labor operations in Section 11 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual
SSM 472102018-05-21. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit incorrect air temperature from the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) outlets with DTC B1081:07 in the front controls interface module (FCIM). This may be due to binding of the blend door in the HVAC housing or binding between the temperature door actuator and the cam to the temperature door. Replacement of temperature door actuator and cam driver is recommended if the blend door is not binding. Note that removal of the cam driver follower from the blend door shaft can result in damage.
SSM 468782017-12-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2017 F-Super Duty vehicle built on or before 24-Aug-2017 may exhibit inoperative A/C operation. This may be due to broken or damaged circuits CH401 (VT-WH) and/or GD131 (BK-GY). Inspect for harness damage between connector C100 at the A/C Compressor and inline connector C1046. This damage may take place during the assembly process. If there is no damage present to either circuit please continue with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnosis.
TSB 16-20332017-08-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2017 F-650/750 vehicles equipped with a 6.8L engine and built on or before 8/2/2016 may exhibit intermittent A/C blowing warm air at idle or during low speed driving maneuvers. This may be due to intermittent disabling of the A/C compressor. Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) release 101.04 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com.
