Service bulletins for the 2018 Ford F-550
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 47712 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition. |

| SSM 47711 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 and a 6, 8 or 10 inch screen may show a pop-up message every key cycle that states 'SYNC can check for updates when connected to a WiFi network'. To remove the inconvenience of the pop-up the customer can either connect to a trusted WiFi network to complete the setup process or turn off WiFi in the WiFi settings located under the Settings menu. Adjusting the setting for the customer is not a warrantable defect. |

Some 2015-2019 F-150, 2017-2019 F-Super Duty, 2018-2019 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a vista roof opening panel may exhibit a binding/sticking, glass stuck open or closed, noisy operation including chatter, rattling, or grinding. This may be due to the glass brackets cracking and/or breaking apart. The glass panel brackets are serviceable separately from the frame assembly and require the roof opening panel glass to be moved to the vent position. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition. |

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. 2018 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2019 F-Super Duty and 2019 E-Series/F-650/F-750 vehicles built on or after 9-Jul-2018 and 2019 F-150/Transit vehicles built on or after 2-Jan-2019 are filled with the new Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant. NOTE: The Motorcraft Yellow Antifreeze/Coolant may appear green in color due to the florescent dye used. |
| TSB 19-2007 | 2019-03-04. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH; EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles built at Kansas City Assembly Plant on or after 4-Apr-2018 and Dearborn Truck Plant on or after 13-Apr-2018 and some F-Super Duty vehicles built at Kentucky Truck Plant on or after 22-Apr-2018 and Ohio Assembly Plant on or after 18-Apr-2018 may exhibit doors that are difficult to unlatch or latch in temperatures at or below freezing. This may be due to powertrain control module (PCM) connector C1232B not being properly seated to the PCM. |
| SSM 47638 | 2019-01-07. Service bulletin. STEERING; STEERING: STEERING WHEEL/HANDLE BAR. 2013-2019 vehicles equipped with a LKS system with customer complaints of steering wheel vibration, steering pull or vehicle drift may be due to an alert and/or steering aid input from the LKS. The LKS system detects unintentional drifting toward the outside of the lane and alerts and/or aids vehicle to stay in the lane. Be sure the customer understands how the lane departure warning feature settings work for Alert (steering wheel vibration) and Aid (steering input toward lane center). Further information on the LKS can be found in the owners manual. If the customers concern is due to the LKS functioning as intended, do not attempt to repair. |
The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
