Service bulletins for the 2016 Ford F-250

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

124 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

SSM 460572017-08-01. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:GASOLINE:BELTS AND ASSOCIATED PULLEYS. Some 2016 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L and dual generators built on 26-Oct-2015 and through 9-Dec-2015 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with no drivability symptoms and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P02CC, P02CE, P02D0, P02D2, P02D4, P02D6, P02D8 and/or P02DA. This may be caused by a thickness variation in the accessory drive belt due to a cord shift during manufacturing that resulted in excessive tensioner movement at hot idle with no accessory drive belt loads present. To repair, replace the accessory drive belt per workshop manual (WSM) section 303-05 then reset minimum fuel mass adaptation and crankshaft position sensor learned values. Use applicable labor operations in section 6 and 10 of the SLTS manual and causal part 8620.
