Service bulletins for the 2018 Ford F-150
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 51263 | 2023-01-06. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some 2015-2023 F-150, 2017-2022 F-Super Duty, and 2019-2023 Ranger vehicles may exhibit dust ingress into the cabin through the doors or air extractors. This may be due to the climate control system being in recirculation mode as a result of the recirculation button being on or automatic strategies for heating/cooling efficiency. To minimize dust ingress when driving in off-road or secondary road conditions, make sure that all doors and windows are fully closed and the climate control system is switched to defrost on and the instrument panel and footwell air vents are switched to off. Temperature and fan settings may be adjusted as desired. Alternatively, max defrost can be activated which will adjust all settings automatically. Operating in defrost mode will keep constant air flow through the rear air extractors and other small areas, helping minimize dust ingress. |

This may be due to the software in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM). To correct the condition, reprogram the DDM and PDM with the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming use causal part 14B291 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

Some 2015-2020 F-150 except Raptor, 2017-2020 F-Super Duty, 2018-2020 Expedition vehicles equipped with a front camera washer may exhibit a washer fluid leak at the front camera washer jet when not in use. | SSM 48934 | 2020-07-07. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS. Some 2018-2019 Explorer/Expedition/F-150/F-Super Duty/Taurus vehicles equipped with a forward collision warning head up display (HUD) may exhibit various warning indicators caused by a possible intermittent lack of HS2-CAN network communication. If the concern cannot be duplicated, place the vehicle in direct sunlight for 15 to 30 minutes to increase the temperature of the HUD and retest. If the concern is present, disconnect the HUD and check for proper HS2-CAN network communication. If proper HS2-CAN network communication is achieved, then HUD module replacement is likely needed. If disconnecting the HUD does not re-establish communication, the HUD is not at fault, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 418-00, PPT AL for diagnostics. |
| TSB 20-2046 | 2020-03-03. Service bulletin. TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK. Some 2018-2019 F-150 vehicles built at Dearborn Truck Plant on 17-Jul-2017 and through 4-Aug-2019 or Kansas City Assembly Plant on 14-Aug-2017 and through 6-Aug-2019 equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine, 3675 mm (145 in) wheelbase, XL/STX trim package, and max trailer tow package (towing pack 1) may exhibit a stability control, traction control and/or Advance Tracù warning message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) message center with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C0051:54 and/or C0051:64 stored in the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module. This maybe due to one or more software parameters in the ABS module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to reprogram the ABS module. |
| SSM 48042 | 2019-07-08. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2018-2019 F-150, Expedition, and Navigator vehicles may exhibit a concern of inoperative adaptive cruise control with no associated diagnostic trouble code (DTC). This concern may occur if the hot in run or start switched power is not present at the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module on circuit CBB17. A load test is recommended to test the ABS module power and ground circuits. |
