Service bulletins for the 2024 Ford Expedition
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 52241 | 2024-02-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT; EQUIPMENT. Some 2022-2024 Expedition vehicles equipped with an analog camera and a 12 inch center display screen may exhibit a rear camera image that the customer describes as grainy, fuzzy, or pixelated. This may be due to the interaction between the analog camera and the high definition digital center display screen. To confirm a vehicle is built with an analog camera and a 12 inch center display screen, verify the minor feature codes J3KAR (REAR VIEW CAMERA - LEVEL 2) and HJGAX (MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY - 12 inch) by reviewing the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). This is an operating characteristic of the vehicle. Do not attempt any repairs for this condition. |

| SANVol 2 Issue 1 | 2024-02-06. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The Service Awareness Newsletter is an informal communication that contains information that may not be presently available in a TSB, SSM, GSB, or other electronic communication. This artile includes ifnormation on warranty, technical service tips and other service information. |
| SSM 52175 | 2024-01-18. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Some 2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit lower than actual fuel level indication on the fuel gauge or inaccurate DTE displayed in the IPC after adding fuel to the vehicle. This may be due to the IPC software and can occur if the vehicle is shut off before placing the gear shift module (GSM) in park (p) and then partially filling the fuel tank. The fuel level indicator and DTE will self-recover after several hours if this condition occurs. Currently, a remedy for this concern is being developed and is expected by the end of the first quarter of 2024. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates. |
| TSB 23-2396 | 2024-01-05. Service bulletin. SEATS. This article supersedes TSB 23-2036 to add 2024 vehicle model years. Some 2018-2024 Navigator and Expedition vehicles may exhibit a concern where the second row seat back does not fold down or recline when the recline handle is pulled upward or the second row single seat easy entry seat fold switch is pressed. This concern may occur with vehicles equipped with two or three second row seats. This may be due to a broken recliner release lever. To correct this concern, replace the recliner release lever. |
| SSM 52115 | 2023-12-11. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. 2023 F-Super Duty, 2023-2024 Expedition and 2024 Nautilus vehicles will exhibit no light emitting diode (LED) confirmation from the key fob indicating that the vehicle has remote started (or not remote started). Factory key fobs with remote start no longer contain a LED feedback indicator. Do not replace the key fob for this condition. This is a normal operating characteristic and no service action is necessary. |
| SSM 52106 | 2023-12-11. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Some 2023-2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with a roof opening panel built on or before 01-Nov-2023 may exhibit a water leak into the vehicle interior from the driver or passenger front corner area of the roof opening panel. This may be due to a kinked or misrouted roof opening panel drain hose. If this condition is present, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 501-17, Pinpoint Test B6 for Navigator or Pinpoint Test C6 for Expedition to check drain hose flow. Make sure the vehicle is parked on level ground. If drain hose flow is normal, continue diagnosis using Pinpoint Test B for Navigator or Pinpoint Test C for Expedition starting at the beginning. |
| TSB 23-2353 | 2023-12-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2020-2023 Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine, 2022-2023 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine, and 2023-2024 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and/or powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P25B3, P25B4, P25B5, P25B6, P2ABA, P2ABB, P2ABC, P2AB7, P2AB8, and/or P2AB9. This may be due to the software in the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
