Service bulletins for the 2019 Ford Edge
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 19-2103 | 2019-05-06. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with a 8F57 transmission and built on or before 01-Mar-2019 may exhibit harsh/bumpy upshift, downshift and/or engagement concerns. This may be due to various powertrain control module (PCM) software parameters for upshift flares, stationary and rolling engagements, and coasting downshift bumps. To resolve the condition, reprogram the PCM. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all the following criteria: 2019 Edge/Nautilus 8F57 transmission Built on or before 01-Mar-2019 Harsh/bumpy upshift, downshift and/or engagement concerns |

| TSB 19-2095 | 2019-05-06. Service bulletin. ENGINE; POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with 2.0L EcoBoost engines built on or before 15-Mar-2019 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2282 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This concern may be due to an intermittently stuck open brake vacuum tube assembly causing an uncommanded high air flow intake manifold leak. To resolve the condition, replace the brake vacuum tube assembly. |
| SSM 47824 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2015-2017 vehicles may experience a no crank concern due to a security access key table error. When attempting to program keys or perform a parameter reset, the procedure may fail and the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) scan tool may display an error 232: Key Table Not Allocated. If this error message is encountered, the Body Control Module (BCM) is internally faulted and requires replacement. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual. |
| SSM 47817 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with 2.0L EcoBoost engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2282 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This concern may be due to an intermittent stuck open brake vacuum on demand valve causing an uncommanded high air flow intake manifold leak. Inspect the vacuum on demand valve (K2GC-2420-AD/K2GZ-2420-A). The Powertrain Controls and Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual Pinpoint Test HG and Workshop Manual are being updated to include a diagnostic routine for the vacuum on demand valve and a procedure to remove and install the vacuum on demand valve. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates. |
| SSM 47814 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER; SEATS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2019 Explorer, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019 Edge/Nautilus, 2017-2019 Fusion/MKZ, and 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with climate controlled seats may exhibit a buzzing noise from the front seats, front seats too warm, and/or inoperative climate controlled front seats. DTCs B14BA:13, B1154:4B, and/or B14B9:13 may also be present. This may be due to loose terminal pin fit on the driver seat module (DSM) connector C341D (16 pin). If a loose terminal pin fit condition is found during normal diagnostics per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10, a new service pigtail connector (part number 3U2Z-14S411-BRAB) is available. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 119 to make sure C341D is a 16 pin connector and not a 20 pin connector. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 5 for the recommended splicing procedures. |
| SSM 47810 | 2019-04-08. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS. Some 2019 Edge Equipped With Adaptive Headlamps (High Series lamp - Titanium (301A) and ST (401A)) may be reported that the front headlamp lights are not bending while the vehicle is moving through a curve at speeds above 5 kph (3 mph), or that the system check outlined in the owner guide for this feature indicates the feature is not working correctly. Engineering is aware of this issue and is working on a repair solution. The headlamps will continue to function to fully meet all applicable lighting requirements. Do not attempt any diagnosis or repairs for this issue. Continue to monitor OASIS for updates. |
