| 18V592000 | 2018-09-10. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 120V Convenience charge cords that were supplied with and sold for use with 2013-2015 Ford C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi vehicles and 2012-2015 Ford Focus Electric vehicles. Cords with part numbers FM58-10B706-AA, FM58-10B706-AB, FM58-10B706-AC, FM58-10B706-AD, FM58-10B706-AE and FM58-10B706-AF were manufactured without thermistors, and during vehicle charging, increased resistance in the house's outlet or wiring can cause the cord to overheat and melt. Built 2012-04-13 to 2015-03-14. |
| 16V643000 | 2016-09-06. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:DOORS:LATCH. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Ford Focus, 2013-2015 Ford Escape and Ford C-MAX, 2015 Lincoln MKC and Ford Mustang, and 2014-2016 Ford Transit Connect vehicles. A component within the door latches may break, preventing the doors from latching and/or leading the driver or a passenger to believe a door is securely closed when, in fact, it is not. Built 2012-01-19 to 2015-01-31. |
| 15V436000 | 2015-07-08. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 Ford Escape vehicles manufactured April 1, 2014, to June 12, 2015, Ford Focus vehicles manufactured June 17, 2014, to June 12, 2015, and Ford C-Max vehicles manufactured April 22, 2014, to June 12, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the engine may continue to run after the key or the START/STOP engine button is turned to off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, "Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention." Built 2014-04-22 to 2015-06-12. |
| 2022311 | 2022-06-13. Powertrain. Issue: On certain vehicles, the shift cable may detach from the transmission. This could cause the transmission not to shift gears when the shifter is moved. As a result, the transmission could be in a different gear than the gear shifter indicates. If a driver attempts to exit the vehicle while the transmission is not in Park, and the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle could move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission shifter cable bushing and install a protective service cap. Ford advises that you should apply the parking brake each time the vehicle is parked. |

| 2018443 | 2018-08-23. Electrical. Certain plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles were supplied with a 120V convenience charge cord that may be susceptible to overheating if there is a poor connection at the electrical outlet. This could result in increased cord temperatures, melting, and an increased risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the factory supplied 120V convenience cord with the latest version of the cord that includes thermal protection. |
| 2016432 | 2016-09-06. Structure. On certain vehicles, the pawl spring tab in the side door latch could break. This condition typically will prevent the door from latching. In certain situations where the door is able to be closed, the door may be partially latched and could unlatch while driving. This could increase the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant seated next to the door, or result in damage to property. Correction: If a door will not latch, dealers will replace all four door latches with a more robust part. Note: A door that is partially latched can cause the courtesy light to remain on, set a door ajar message in the instrument cluster and sound a door ajar chime to alert the driver that there is a door latch problem. |
| 2015298 | 2015-07-02. Engine. Certain vehicles may fail to conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. It may be possible for the engine to continue to run after turning the ignition key to the "off" position and removing the key (vehicles with standard ignition keys), or after pressing the Engine Start/Stop button (vehicles with push-button start and intelligent access keys), which is contrary to the requirements of the standard. As a result, a vehicle could be operated without the key, increasing the risk of theft or unintended vehicle movement, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage and/or injury to bystanders. Correction: Dealers will update the body control module (BCM) software. |
A campaign lists a year, a make and a model, and often only some of the vehicles built. A list with nothing on it is not a clearance either. The lookups below check one VIN.
