Service bulletins for the 2026 Ford Bronco
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 55073 | 2026-08-11. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021-2026 Bronco vehicles may require the removal and installation of the transfer case for various reasons. Installation requires Loctite® 243 adhesive applied to the mounting bolt threads in the transmission. Make sure that the mating faces are clean and dry. Tightening the mounting bolts also requires an updated two-stage tightening sequence. Workshop Manual (WSM), Sections 307-07C/D and 308-07C/D Installation > Transfer Case have been updated to reflect this change. |

| SSM 55044 | 2026-07-27. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2025-2026 Bronco/Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2122, P2123, P2127, P2128, and/or P2138 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The vehicle may or may not exhibit a perceived lack of power intermittently. This may be due to an issue with the following connectors associated with the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor circuits: -C115B -C175B -C2040 Replacement of the accelerator pedal may not resolve this concern. Perform a wiggle test of the connectors while the engine is at normal operating temperature. Perform a visual inspection of the connectors as well as a terminal fit test using the appropriately sized flex probe. Repair as necessary. Refer to Wiring Diagram Cell 005. If no concerns are found, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 310-02 for normal diagnostics. |
| SSM 54902 | 2026-06-09. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. For 20202026 vehicles equipped with the 10R60 transmission, a new Transmission Clutch Circuit Leak Test has been introduced in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). This test utilizes the pressure and vacuum transducer (PVT) when available. Workshop Manual (WSM) updates related to this diagnostic procedure are planned for release in Q4 2026. The new test improves the accuracy of detecting leaks within transmission fluid circuits and replaces the previous air check method. The previous air check procedure has been shown to produce a high rate of false positives, which may lead to unnecessary repairs when no actual leak is present. Accordingly, the air check procedure is not to be used for diagnosing internal transmission hydraulic leaks or as justification for transmission replacement. |
| 26B12 | 2026-06-05. Other. POWER TRAIN. Certain 2026 Model Year Aviator, Explorer and Bronco Vehicles with 10R60 Transmissions: Transmission and Fluid Cooler Replacement |
| SSM 54772 | 2026-04-28. Service bulletin. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL; FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; POWER TRAIN. Some 2025-2026 Bronco vehicles may exhibit various cruise control, pre-collision and/or front stabilizer bar disconnect related warning messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0418:86 stored in the image processing module A (IPMA) and no wheel speed sensor specific DTCs present in the anti-lock brake (ABS) module. DTC U0415:00 may also be stored in the CHCM. If a vehicle exhibits this condition, carefully inspect the rear wheel speed sensors for correct installation with the rear wheel speed sensor body seated flush against the axle housing. Repair or replace the affected rear wheel speed sensor as needed, clear the DTC, and retest. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-09. If the condition persists, advise the customer that Engineering is working on a software robustness solution that is expected to be available Q2 2026.

This condition does not affect vehicle durability, and additional diagnosis or service is not recommended at this time. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA and/or ABS modules will not resolve this condition. |
| SSM 54592 | 2026-02-27. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. For 20172026 vehicles equipped with a 10R transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, located in Section 307-01 > Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements (N>R, N>D, R>D, or D>R) should be noted. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article. |
