Service bulletins for the 2023 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 539622025-06-24. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the A-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors. If a leak is identified from this area, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-18 Pinpoint Test (PPT) G for water leak diagnosis. If the PPT leads to the replacement of the header seal, a revised header seal has been released for service (M2DZ-7803110-H) which contains a thicker consistent bead of butyl across the entire length of the seal. The header seal will need to be firmly depressed and massaged to make sure all of the butyl that is across the entire header seal will properly adhere to the body, creating a water-tight seal. For claiming, use causal part 7803110 and labor operation 03110A in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 538762025-06-11. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2020-2023 Aviator/Explorer and 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 10R60 transmission may exhibit harsh or delayed engagement/shift concerns. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01 > Diagnosis and Testing for normal diagnostics. The WSM has been updated with information from previously published articles related to this concern.
SSM 538692025-06-11. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION; WHEELS. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles built on or before 01-Jan-2025 equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and 10R60 automatic transmission may exhibit diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304 and may be accompanied by a buck/jerk sensation while driving between 35-55 mph (56-89 km/h) in gears 7-10. If the condition remains after normal engine misfire diagnostics and associated repairs have been performed, the condition may be related to driveline torsional vibration induced by the rear wheels and/or rear axle assembly. The driveline torsional harmonics/vibrations are incorrectly identified by the misfire monitor as an engine misfire. Perform standard road force wheel balancing of all four tire and wheel assemblies and retest. If the condition continues to occur, replace the ring and pinion gearset in the rear axle. For claiming, use causal part 4209 and applicable labor operations found in Section 04 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 538142025-05-27. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the a-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors

This may be due to a recent short drop enhancement that is contained in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) software.

Some 2020 Continental, 2020-2024 Edge/Nautilus, 2020-2025 Explorer/Aviator/Escape/Corsair/F-150/F-Super Duty/Ranger/Transit/E-Series, 2021-2025 Bronco, and 2022-2025 Maverick vehicles may require an engine cooling system flush to be performed for various concerns. This may be due to the driver placing their hand on the interior front door handle and inadvertently pushing the manual door lock toggle into the lock position. If the lock and latching mechanisms are functioning normally, and if there are no related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or other issues identified, then the system is operating as designed.

This may be due to non-factory sized tires that may cause inaccurate speedometer readings that can impact the functionality of the CCM. When a vehicle is modified in this manner, replacement or realignment of the CCM may impact the normal operation of the system and/or performance of radar and camera-based features. Repair or replacement of the CCM when a vehicle is equipped with non-factory size tires may not be warrantable and subject to chargeback.
