Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) On, Possible P0300, P040B, P041B, P1427 and/or P1429 DTCs Set Some customers may comment on a check engine light illuminated. During diagnosis a technician may find one or more of the following DTCs set: • P0300 — Engine Misfire Detected • P040B — Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Range/Performance • P041B — Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance • P1427 — EGR Temperature Sensor 1 – Intake Air Temperature 1 Not Plausible • P1429 — EGR Temperature Sensor 2 – Intake Air Temperature 1 Not Plausible This may be caused by a calibration within the K20 Engine Control Module

This informational bulletin provides information for higher mileage Volts that are having the EGR cooler being plugged not allowing sufficient flow with DTC being set.
