| 17337-17419 | 2021-04-29. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU/ECM); POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). General Motors released Emission Recall 17337 and Service Update 17419 on November 1, 2017. After their release, a change occurred in Tis2Web that affects the involved 2018 model year Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD vehicles. This change prevents programming of the engine control module (ECM) and transmission control module (TCM) separately. Tis2Web now requires the ECM and TCM in these full-size trucks to be programmed sequentially. Consequently, dealers are confused and asking for guidance relative to labor code submission requirements. Again, the Tis2Web change only affects the involved 2018 model year Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD vehicles |

This Preliminary information communicates the use of Winter grade fuel during the warm months of 2020 and the potential rivability issues that it can cause. The ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused significant reductions in driving and fuel use. Due to the surplus of winter grade fuel sitting in storage (pipelines/stations) the EPA is waiving the fuel vapor requirement. This will extend the use of winter fuel into the summer months. The drivability concerns should not be single events but should be multiple occurrences associated with hot days. |

The recommendation has been divided into three upgrades, depending on which mirrors the truck was built with (RPO DE2, DL8 or DL3). Please follow the correct RPO group below, because not all camper mirrors can be installed on all trucks. After selecting the correct RPO mirror the truck was built with, this PI will aid in determining which camper mirrors can be installed. |
