During the ISTA short test diagnosis, fault code 21E6E9 - ""Charging interruption"" is found stored in the KLE (Convenience Charging Electronics) module. There is no customer complaint related to charging system, or a warning check control message display. CAUSE An Erroneous fault 21E6E9 stored in the KLE after completion of AC charging session."
B1602162018-11-13. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. Rattle Or Buzzing Noise At 1500 To 2200 Rpm. When accelerating, particularly when driving off on a slope, there is a buzzing, rattling noise coming from the driver's side underbody, near the footwell area. The quick-release coupling for the fuel line is contacting the fuel line protective plate.

"DSC ""WHEEL SPEED SENSOR"" FAULT CODES AND MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP- DIAGNOSTIC. 1. DSC's fault codes stored from two different wheel speed sensors (both front or both rear): 4809B0 - wheel speed sensor - front left - drive off recognition faulty and 4809CD - wheel speed sensor - front right - drive off recognition faultyor 4809B9 - wheel speed sensor - rear left - drive off recognition faulty and 480686 - wheel speed sensor - rear right - drive off recognition faulty. 2. Next ignition ON (after above codes stored). a) DME fault can occur:1F054D - drive, safety function: Drive power output reduced, DSC signals implausible and b) Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may light up. Faulty drive off recognition due to: a towing operation with a raised axle operation of the vehicle on the vehicle hoist operation of the vehicle on the roller test stand DSC diagnosis recognizes implausible wheel speeds, so no control is possible. DME fault is entered on safety grounds since the DSC fault still exists after a terminal change and may only be removed while driving."

Media connected to the USB connector is not recognized by the audio system. Playback of files from the media is not possible. Message displayed on the audio system display: ""Title cannot be reproduced"" ""Is being read"" (but never plays back any audio) CAUSE Media with data files stored in more than 32 directories or 32 subdirectories within a directory. Media with a large number of files. Media exceeds total storage capacity of 32 GB."

"NBT-EVO Head Unit Cannot Be Swapped Between Vehicles for Testing This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI B65 13 16 dated July 2016.. If an NBT-EVO head unit is swapped into a different vehicle it will enter a locked mode once it recognizes a different VIN. This will set a fault in the Head Unit (NBT-EVO), Fault Code ""B7F87A: Burgler Actively Registered / Component Protection Active"" This will require REPLACEMENT of the head unit to restore operation. To prevent easy re-use of stolen Head units additional features are introduced with 11/15 ISTA/P software to bring NBT-EVO to a higher security level. In NBT-EVO the mechanism is called ""Trusted VIN"""
B6305162018-11-05. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS:CONCEALMENT DEVICES. "HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES HAVE VISIBLE INTERNAL MOISTURE/CONDENSATION. Water on the inside (A) or misting (B) of both headlight lenses that is visible from outside. Water inside the headlights can be caused by two situations: Water/moisture ingress into the headlight housing. Thermal conditions that result in the formation of condensation. Note: An important indication that the moisture issue is caused by ""condensation"" rather than a ""water leak"" into the headlight housing, there will be misting/condensation in ""both headlights."""
B5142162018-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. WATER DRIPPING INTO LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FROM OPEN TRUNK LID. Water drips into luggage compartment when the trunk lid is lifted (also see attached video below). www.tinyurl.com/F30trunk trunk lid making sure it flows over the taillight. Open the trunk lid within one minute of pouring water over taillight. Water trapped between the tail light module and the body of the vehicle.

CAUSE Roads that have toll lanes ""without a cash option"" where not utilized for routing in NBT map data versions: NEXT 2015-1 NEXT 2015-2 NEXT 2016-1 As an enhancement, the NEXT 2017-1 map release now provides information about toll lanes ""without cash option"". UPDATE Install new map data."
B6523162018-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. ?AUDIO VOLUME NOT RESTORED AFTER MSA STOP, ENTRY HEAD UNIT. Volume of audio system (when set to near maximum) is reduced when Auto Start-Stop (MSA) stop occurs and is not restored upon automatic engine restart. This is normal system behavior - serves to protect the head unit, battery drain and avoidance of incremental leaps in the loudness. The loudness is reduced to 2/3 of maximum and is not restored. Note: Air conditioning output is also reduced upon MSA stop and is not restored for similar reasons.
B3405162018-11-05. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. CBS BRAKE PAD CALCULATION AND CORRECTION. When a vehicle comes into the workshop for any repair or maintenance job, the bundling calculator recommends a brake maintenance checkup. No brake warning light is illuminated. CBS shows 3,107 miles or slightly higher for the next brake service displayed via Key Reader, or vehicle's Control Display (in Vehicle Info/Status/Service required/Brake pads) CAUSE CBS calculates the remaining brake pad wear based on brake pressure, speed, vehicle specific parameters (i.e. NAO pads), brake temperature as well as cumulative brake application time. Due to variation of these parameters and outside environmental influences, this calculation can deviate from the real brake pad wear. Starting from the above-mentioned production dates of the vehicles indicated, the CBS brake pad wear calculation has been changed, and is now based only on the brake pad wear sensor. Important Note: To avoid a too-slow wear prediction, the CBS brake model will estimate the need for repairs, in some cases, rather early. The Service Engine Soon light (MIL) is currently or intermittently illuminated in the instrument cluster and one or both of the fault codes below are stored in the Automatic Climate Control (IHKA). 801375 - Electric auxiliary heater (high voltage): Temporary fault detected after software reset. CAUSE IHKA software or Electric Heater (EH).
B1117162018-11-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. VOLUNTARY EMISSIONS RECALL CAMPAIGN 16E-A05 - N26 ENGINE: REPLACE TURBOCHARGER OIL SUPPLY LINE. Carbonization of the turbocharger sealing ring can cause the exhaust to smoke briefly during cold start up.

B8404162018-11-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SOS MALFUNCTION DISPLAYED. An SOS malfunction is seen in the Kombi. When pressing the E-Call/SOS button in the overhead console, nothing happens. Fault code B7F33C (internal ECU error) is stored in the Telematics control unit (ATM/TCB2). There are 2 known causes for this failure. They are as follows: Software file missing from the ATM/TCB2 control module Water leak at shark-fin leading to corrosion in the ATM/TCB2 control module
